listen to whatever you feel like listening to at the time, dont try to force anything just because it is a sterotypical sound to listen to on a trip. Hell maybe some classical music will be the best music you have ever heard on it. Just experiment for a bit while you are on it to what feels right

I would say listen to whatever makes you happy so you will be conforted. This is what I like to listen to:

TOOL:
opiate (song)
Pu**** live*
Third eye
(-)ions
Mantra
Schism
Ticks and leeches
Lateralus
Disposition,reflection,triad (as a whole)
Wings pt1
Wings pt2 (their is a part in that song that is sooo damn trippy)
Lost keys
Rosetta stoned
intension

ELO:
mr.blue sky (it will just make you happy)

Bucket head:
spidercrawl

Led zepplin:
no quarter
ramble on
moby dick (badass instumental)

Les claypool:
lust strings
whamola
ding dang

Modest mouse:
third planet
ping pong
the ocean breathes salty

A perfect circle:
the nurse who loved me

Radiohead:
The whole "kid a" album

Spoon:
the way we get by

Their are many more but that list is pretty long. If your tripping find something that will make you laugh or comfort you. I choose a lot of tool because it comforts me.

I'm listening to Reflection right now.

In all honestly, it is probably my favorite track from Lateralus. I really wish they would perform this live.

I mean we can state the obvious here and go with some Dark Side Of The Moon...but going with originallity...

Try some stuff by: Minus The Bear

Its smooth and peaceful, if you take a bit of time and sort their songs most of them blend together seemlessly and just flow really well. They are my default background "mood" music for just normal activities and it works quite well for other things.

You should download Failure 33 Object by John Frusciante, and not listen to it until you're tripping...That'd be interesting.

Tool might scare you if youre not familiar. 3 songs that would be cool though disposition/reflection/triad in that order.

Also Intension. Thats probably my favorite song off 10,000 days.

You're mildly retarded.

Shpongle, Ott, Hallucinogen, 1200 Micrograms, Raja Ram, Younger Brother, and Cosmosis are all much better than Tool or Floyd will ever be.

Anything Benji Vaughn(sp), Simon Posford, or Bill Haisley(sp) are involved in is great music- period.

Pink Floyd is good, but they're overrated as ****.
