PBNation needs to stop using premadonas

just what it saids....

from threads to chat rooms

Administrators or webmasters need to stop using people with
"I AM YOUR GOD" complex

makes it easier for everyone here....
makes the ops look respectable
makes everyone else happy

doesnt it seem this site has more complaints about mods, opts or what ever in their visits here. and what is being done to it?

well, from what i got from the dates.....its been a while

yea like were gonna let the users run around and have free reign of the boards. not gonna happen! i got a better idea. how about the users show some constraint and respect for the fellow memebers and read the rules before posting. then the mods wont have to do squat

mabey it is my fault that i did not make this thread clear...

im not talking on letting users run wild in the treads or in chat...
believe me that im the exact opposite..

i want to make clear that my gripe in this matter is just.
i am trying to point out some mods DO have a short fuse, time and time again.(very much so in the chat room)
i am not against mods judgements in the forums if they are fair and just.
i am against the fact that they take moderating to their own level of judgement past the rules that have been written down for the users.
when they take it upon themselves to pass judgement just because to feel like it is wrong.

again... im am against threads/articles/users with the bad intentions in the forums. i am thrilled that some mods do their jobs well and in good form...that i am thankful for..
as for the other....they do need more training

if we have too many mods, people complain about the mods
if we have too few mods, people cry about the lack of moderation

it's lose-lose, there's no mod training program, and there's no way we can ensure that mods wont bring their personal vendettas and opinions into their job as a moderator..

there's isn't too much we can do to be honest.

You have to have a happy-medium balance within the moderators. You need to trust in the moderators decision. You also have to understand that there are way to many ignorant brats at this forum. I dont blame the moderators for having a short fuse, some of those kids act like pure idiots some times.
Now, if you would provide us with an example of what "mistreatment" you have seen of, would be very appreciable. Then we can make a decision of what info u provide.

ouch......!!
begins to tell me that the wrong mods were hired for the job.
doesnt that strike you?
and are you telling me that you cannot train or tell mods to be more professional about their position?
yes they are infact intitled to their opinions by all means. but if your telling me that you cannot control them beyond that, then what are they doing STILL in that same position?
your opinion almost if not infact allows them to be short tempered and in some cases be as irrestposible as the irritant user? i sorry but im appalled by that statement...of sorry live with it..

i am not saying to hire more or less mods to fit the positions..
i am considering that who ever is resposible for the mods be in the position to take charge and just to say"hey, be more of a pro will ya?"

that opinion is almost of what i would expect from the problem mods that tell some users to "bend over so they can shove it!" attitude.

and for WGP_keeper....well there is one example
the other examples are better taken care from the PM to the mods
but i will say that your opinion is a very smart way to start.-you accutually care and want to get involved-thanks
and you say about the brats...i do not have problems with mods using their authority against them...heck...give em hell for that matter...
but what about the decisions that are unjust...you cant honestly say i trust the mods for their actions. well its just a good thing this is just a forum then.

we don't "hire" any mods, its a volunteer position. we choose them based on past performance on the boards, and there isn't officially any "training" that goes on.. this is a bulletin board, not a fulltime job.

p.s. wgp_keeper isn't a mod..

How about this, you get all the non mods/admins to show some class and respect. I may have only been here a short time, but ive admined/moded other places for quite some time, and one thing i can say for certain; is that no matter what we(admins/mods) do, we cant please everyone.

But im about sick of users telling the admins and mods how to act, when the majority of the people that need to change are the users.

Im not saying you Emag, im speaking in general.
