I would say McCain is more liberal then Clinton. Being liberal doesn't have to do with pulling out of Iraq. It was traditionally liberal to spread democracy by any means. Sure, universal health care, but look at McCain on immigration and the environment and tell me him and Hillary are far apart. You won't be able to.

Good question....but Americans don't look at it that way. They just listen to what the news tells them and vote. It's amazingly sad.

McCain:

10/18/2007 Prohibiting Funds for Groups that Perform Abortions Y
09/19/2007 Habeus Corpus for Detainees of the United States N
05/18/1999 Religious Memorials at Schools Amendment Y
12/18/2007 Iraq Withdrawal Amendment N
12/18/2001 No Child Left Behind Act Y
12/16/2005 USA PATRIOT and Terrorism Prevention Reauthorization Y

Clinton:

10/21/2003 Prohibit Partial-Birth Abortion bill N
10/21/2003 Prohibit Partial-Birth Abortion bill N
09/19/2007 Habeus Corpus for Detainees of the United States Y
04/26/2007 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill of 2007 with Iraq Withdrawal Timeline Y
12/16/2005 USA PATRIOT and Terrorism Prevention Reauthorization N

While I agree, McCain sure is more liberal than the rest of his constituents, do not say he's MORE liberal than Hillary.

I used to really respect McCain until he tried to appeal to the religious right.
He seems to have given that up now so I'm starting to like him again.

McCain shows his bravery by refusing to go 1 on 1 with Romney on MTP - what a guy.

He's the frontrunner going into Super Tuesday - you really think he's going to even give Romney a chance to come back?

Its amazing how close Romney comes every time but every major media outlet dismisses him.

Its CRAZY people want to elect someone that had ZERO knowledge of economics up until a few months ago! CRAZY!!!

“I’m going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated.” OK, so who does he turn to for advice? His answer is reassuring. His foremost economic guru is former Texas Sen. Phil Gramm (who would almost certainly be Treasury secretary in a McCain administration). He’s also friendly with the godfather of supply-side economics, Arthur Laffer.""

he can still run as a vice president right? im thinking hes giving his supporters to mccain in return for a vice presidency, they do share many views. but if i know guiliani, he probably did it to keep his campaign money.

god i hope nobody is dumb enough to vote for another bush.

I though Huck was looking good for he VP spot, but I guess he's going to have to settle as being McCain's useful idiot. I doubt McCain would go with Huck over Giuliani. IF McCain wins Giuliani will likely be going for the 2012.

I don't like McCain for the sole fact that he peddled the immigration bill with Ted Kennedy. I consider him more of a liberal than a conservative on that sole issue.

Don't forget every other issue he apparently knows more about than the American People and particularly his own party.

If this guy gets the nomination, I'm not a republican.

Joe Lieberman (sp?) is going against his own party to campaign hard for McCain. Could we possibly see a McCain Leiberman ticket this fall?
