Prototype Marker: TRIAL 1.1

For some reason my last post was removed!?!?- Unless someone tells me why ill keep posting this prototype, so someone can remove it!

Any way this is my Prototype marker dubbed the TRIAL:

DRY cycling (no air):

DRY cycling with paint:

And heres the latest update- After testing, I am now almost certain that I can preduce the below design that is this minimalistic:

I have the Design work done for this and the blueprints drawen up now i just need to get it fabricated-(this is going to take sometime though)

no offense, but what did you honestly think was going to happen with epoxy used like that?
Adhesives resist shear forces well not normal forces

No offense, But what do you think HPA tanks are made from..... glass mat and ?????- Epoxy, Epoxy isn't just an adhesive, it serves more purposes as a polymer than a glue!

Looks like it cycles ok--you definitely need better materials for body and such but hey for proof of principle it seems to work. Is that a regular solenoid driving the bolt? If so you can expect to chew through batteries fairly quick.

good effort though.

I started a thread in the TTMA forum about this. Hopefully a mod/admin gets back to me on this. I would like to see the thread re-instated.

Perhaps it was smart parts, so that they can patent + steal the idea

Sick. Can't wait to see the next stages of this design's development.

That would make smart parts absolute cocks, I’d have to sue them for breach of intellectual property law!

Don't post how it works, or a blue print. At least until you have it really close to being done. Otherwise who knows who might try to steal it. certain companies have been known to "steal" ideas very often lately. Even ideas that have been produced long before they "stole" the ideas. Be careful what happens with your idea.

But back on topic, I would love to see the end result. Keep up the work.

The problem in question is not the integrity of the epoxy as a material itself, it's the fact that it isn't used a solid polymer in this application, it's a bond material and you are stressing this bond not the actual structure of the polymer, hence why i said adhesives(not solid polymers) are stronger in shear then in normal stress which you are primarily incurring
cut a tank in half and epoxy it back together and i highly doubt it will hold, layer layer upon layer of material with epoxy or resin in between and you have an actual tank.

i'm curious what designs you know have been stolen and profited on, especially "lately"

Two things based just on the looks of that sketch or design you have.
First, I think as a general rule of thumb, try to go with some sort of regulator which is already out there, or at least one which is interchangeable with other ones available in the market (unless this is an HP gun which requires an HP source of air and no regulator and that is just a gas-through grip.
Also, you should try to contact a user here by the name of L_x, his ability to produce graphic drawings are superior to probably everyone on this site, and I'm sure he is capable of turning your sketch into a professional looking model once you have the design down and you are ready for that stage.
