Saw it shortly before my Socialist-turned-Libertarian revelation. Opens your eyes to stuff that I otherwise was too lazy to research on my own. Definitely recommended for anyone who believes in some authoritarian view, be it Socialism, or the opposite.

Unfortunately it seems to be way over your head.

Given that these are some of the most profound and consequently misunderstood political ideas ever conceived, to call them "kinda boring and common sense" doesn't reflect well on you.

If you don't already know these ideas then yeah, that's embarrassing. It should be common sense and the video it self WAS boring with weird music.

I'm sorry but the current political situation in this country demonstrates that the vast majority of Americans don't have even the most basic understanding of the concepts in the video. Furthermore, most Americans don't believe in these concepts.

As far as the video being boring, I'm not sure how you deal with serious philosophical issues in a truly exciting way. I guess it would have been better if they threw in a couple of chicks in string bikinis, but that might have distracted the viewers.

Half of it goes over the golden rule. As much as I hate to say it you can't have complete liberty, although I advocate more then we have now. Society is just too ****ed up for this.

More liberty is good, however, we couldn't handle complete liberty in this day and age.

I completely disagree. Absence of Liberty = Dictatorship or Slavery in any situation except Isolation.

That's the beauty of Liberty, as long as your take care of your own, society can go to hell in a hand basket, and you can still become successful. You just have to pray that Darwin was right.

That was actually a pretty neat video. I think one of the few examples however of an anti-government time period (at least at the federal/national level) would be the Middle Ages. Lack of technology aside, they immediately formed feudal systems, and it got pretty oppressing.

I think if you believe in human nature, then this concept may seem far fetched.

Depends who's concept of human nature you believe in...

Hobbes makes a pretty good argument, but so does Locke and Marx.

Since when did government have to murder, steal, or enslave us in any form to be free of marxism?

If you watched the video, you'd see the ideas are almost for verbatim Marx's.
