Odyssey 03E bolt

Ok i have a Rex R3, and i use to have a 03E. i dont like the pin on top of the R3 and the 03 had a different bolt (no pin on top had some kind of button on the back of the bolt you had to push in to get the bolt out) does anyone know what i am talking about? Do they sell bolts like that anymore? I think it was stock on the 03's.

the 03e is like a cocker bolt.

do you think that the Cocker bolt will fit in the R3? I was looking at the R3 and it screws in where the Cocker bolt would stick out, could this be a problem?

well i dont know about the r3 and wot bolts fit in therem i just know that and 03e bolt wolnt fit in and r3.

i doubt the o3e bolt will fit in an r3. the o3e's bolt used a spring loaded ball bearing to keep it in place. the ram had place on it for the bearing to sit on. it's been a long time since i looked at an r3 bolt so i can't say for sure if it does or does not have that place. you wouldn't want one anyway imo. it always seemed to give me problems. you could tighten down the bearing & it was always either too loose or too tight. that plus the spot where the bearing sits on the ram showed signs of wear way too soon. stick with the stock r3 bolt. i didn't see any problems with mine.

No the cocker bolt will not work, and also the R3 cannot take the O3E bolt and vice versa. There were differences in the ram assemblies

Yea, i liked the Ball detent bolt, i had no problems with it. Thank you guys for your input. What about the grips? The frame looks a little big for the .45? Anyone know of any grips that will fit it? Also is the reg that bad? I have heard some bad things about the reg.

For the bolts, the new bolts are delrin and are better than the old aluminum ones without the topcocking pin. If u wanna replace the bolt, i'd suggest gettin one from alamo paintball, they make bolts n ram kits for these. I have the ramkit for mine, works well.

Have no idea if cocker bolts will work tho, but i see no reason to use em

EDIT: Also I mention 06' proto grips worked, they don't after all, screw placements looked perfect from the pics online, but turns out the grips overall are half an inch shorter.
