Do any pro paintball players get salaries for playing for certain companies?

I was wondering if any pro paintball players play paintball for a living.

I know LJ gets a salary for wearing an X-Enterprises jersy. Something like $17,000 a year. He also has a regular job working for them too. I know several X-Ball teams pay their players, but only $1-200 a game. Basically. Noone just plays paintball for a living, but some get extra for it.

some teams get paid but they have to turn around and spend it on practice paint, entry fees, plane tickets, etc. so they dont make much off it.

Most teams that actually get paid already have that other stuff paid for by their sponsor.

Some of the headliners get more than the average. But they again a lot of them work for said companies that sponsor them.

Over all, there are not many who actually make a living off of professional paintball. The vast majority still have part/full time jobs along with being sponsored.

I know Russian Legion gets mad money, indoor training facilities, an olympic coach and they practice 5 days a week. I am pretty sure they get paid only to play.

Chris Lasoya gets paid to play and it's a nice amount too. He whole team stands to make $1 million over six years. You do the math.

why.

why do baseball players get paid millions, and can live richly, but us paintball players get paid squat (and that's if were pro, which I'm not), I mean, both games take talent, and both games are fun to watch.

<<Chris Lasoya gets paid to play and it's a nice amount too. He whole team stands to make $1 million over six years. You do the math.>>

You should have done the math before you posted. There is probably close to 15 players on Chris team, since it is x-ball. 1 million over 6 years would be 160,000 and per player tha would be 11,000 a year. Now that money would also be needed for the entry fee, travel, etc. That would mean the players on the team would be losing money. Chris's team has to be getting more then 1 million in 6 years.

<<why do baseball players get paid millions, and can live richly, but us paintball players get paid squat (and that's if were pro, which I'm not), I mean, both games take talent, and both games are fun to watch.>>

Because paintball can't get a very big crowd to watch, and it is free to watch. Baseball can get a huge crowd and be charging money.

I know of a novice team who get paid for every person they shoot out. Chris Lasoya mkaes a living from playing paintball because of all the sponserships(see Facefull 11). Most NXL teams get paid to play but barely anything. Most pro teams don't have to pay anything when they go to tournements. So most of the money they get is profit to them.

Chris doesn't make a living playing paintball. He works as well. There isn't anyone that makes a living playing paintball.

Lasoya has a 6 million dollar contract. The money comes from every brand he plays with.

I was wrong, it's $6 million for 6 years and there are actually 10 members on the team. The NXL teams don't pay an entry fee, that was part of the franchise fee. They also don't pay for the travel expenses or the paint.

The only money they spend is for food and whatever else they want to buy.

Read Lasoya's interview in Facefull, the one where he trashes Poorman. He states that he's the first player to get paid just for playing.
