Re-hydro places in WI????
I have to get my tank rehydroed this year and was wondering if you knew of any places that do it? Preferably in the SE region.
My local field and dive shop don't do it, so I wasn't sure where else to check.
Thanks for any and all help.

Which part of the southeast: Milwaukee, Kenosha...? I found one place in Milwaukee but I am sure there are more in that area. Look for both Fire Equipment Suppliers and Welding Suppliers in the phone book, find the places closest to you, and ask if they do Hydrostatic Testing. It will cost around $30 and the turn around is usually a few days if you're local.
You will need to take your reg off before you give the tank to them. If you don't know how to do this I can give you exact instructions on how to. If you don't feel comfortable or feel unsafe taking the reg off, do not attempt to do so; take it to your local pro shop and they should be able take the reg off.

I would prefer more around Waukesha, Delafield, etc. But i guess ill have to make a trek if there are no close spots.

I found the listing below on yellowpages.com under "Fire Protection Equipment-Repair and Servicing" in Waukesha and they are listed as doing hydro testing. They should be able to help you out.

yeah. i was talking to the lady in there and she was saying how her & doug (owner of siege) were having a hard time finding a place that will re-hydro scuba tanks for a reasonable price.
ill call them again though just to make sure.

There is also a scuba place in waukesha on St. Paul by the downtown fire dept.
don't know if they test there.

He goes to Mukwonago this year but wants to transfer to KM next, we go to the seige every once in a while,not much time with hockey season and off ice practice. I know a few of the kids and coaches for the CMH hockey team

Oh i believe it, my 9 year old nephew plays hockey for Arrowhead's little team & he has a crazier schedule than i do. i thought it was bad when we had to drive to Madison for a Cross meet.

Nah, this is fine, especially for WI. I'd kind of been thinking that, too. I know that there's plenty of places that will take your tank and send it in (Stalker will, for example, but Mike sends tanks to some place in Madison). We'd need really two lists - one that has places you can take your tank as a middle man, and one that does it direct. Locations for each, of course. I'll probably set up a thread on that shortly and sticky it... it may lead to a "WI Paintball Resources" thread later.
