Just finished a book called "An American Life". It's written by one of my friends' grandfather. It just talked about his life, with a large amount telling his story of serving in WWII. Pretty interesting.

I'm getting ready to start John Grisham's, "A Time to Kill". It's one of the only ones that I have never read.

Getting off of a short Grisham kick, with "If I Ever Get Back To Georgia, I'm Gonna Nail My Feet To The Ground" by Lewis Grizzard.

Had my wisdom teeth removed today, so I should have a few days of nothing to do but read.

Finished that.

So now I'm back to Grisham with a book of his short stories, "Ford County".

I'm also currently reading "Naked Economics" for my Econ class. Surprisingly, it's not too bad.

John Grisham? I think so. He's probably my favorite author. He writes good stories that are extremely easy to follow. Pretty much all of them (all that I have read) have been set somewhere in the south, normally in Miss, where he is from. Read "A Time to Kill" first. It was the first one that he wrote, and I think it might be my favorite. A few of his books have been put into movies. I know for sure that three have, "A Time To Kill", "The Firm", and "The Pelican Brief".

Just finished The Legend of Bagger Vance by Steven Pressfield.

Just finished Plague of the Dead, and just finished with Thunder and Ashes. Both by Z.A. Recht

Great reads for any zombie fans.

Anxiously awaiting Day By Day Armageddon 3 from J. L. Bourne.

I recently finished A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin and Seven Hells is it good. I'm about to begin the second book in the series, A Clash of Kings. If you're a fantasy fan, or you enjoy the show on HBO, this series is a must-read.

I'm trying to get through Game Of Thrones, but finding it almost unbearably boring. So many people I've talked to compared him to Steven Erikson, which I took to be great praise, but I honestly can't see the similarities. Aside from the fact that they're both fantasy authors.

Martin's characters are static and unlikable, even the ones I'm supposed to care about. The plot is stagnant; little to nothing happens in the entire first third of the book. I bet if he spent less time telling me useless details about what people were eating, wearing, or how they smelled, he could have been done the book 200 pages sooner.

I'll finish the book. I did buy it. But I won't be all too giddy to pick up the next one.
