Operation Jedburgh. Great book about the OSS Agents that operated behind enemy lines with the resistance during Normandy.

Catch-22, about 100 pages into and it's kind of a weird book. It's growing on me though.

On the Beach by Neville Shute

it's a pre-cold war view on basically the nuclear war that would happen if a similar cold war situation unfolded between china, russia, and the little **** nations that also have nukes

as it said in the original review, there's nothing "happy" about the book but it was very very well written, i enjoyed it alot

i'm on a roll with these post apocolyptic books lol

I have been using a Kindle since Christmas. Absolutely love the thing!

As for now, I'm reading "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving.

I got a Nook for Christmas. Its ehh, doesn't bother me if I had a book or the Nook. I would rather pay 6 dollars for an actual book, though when the book is short.

Been meaning to finish "Notes from Underground" (F. Dost.), but I had to start "On Death and Dying" by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross (really easy to read and follow if you are an inconsistent/ sporadic reader.

The 2nd Jurassic Park book, Lost World. No joke. It's actually pretty scientific in some parts, not like the movie ****.

Also have soldier boys, citizen soldiers, dogs of war (bout half way through it) guerrilla, etc.

But I've been wanting to pick up:

Mein kampf
Catcher in the rye
Turner diaries
Hunter
The devils guard

and a few others.

Couple of white supremicy books in there, but I don't personally judge on color. I judge on attitude and intelligence mainly.

I just started Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer yesterday and I'm about two-thirds of the way through We the Living by Ayn Rand--I'm really enjoying both of them. I've also been reading Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal off and on but that is for a project I'm working on more so than personal enjoyment.

Reading a book to become informed about an idea or ideas is one thing, choosing to believe in them is another. I have a copy of The Communist Manifesto on my bookshelf--I didn't read it because I'm Communist, I read it because I wanted to know more about Communism.

Edit: Dead forum is dead. I picked up The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, The Variety of Scientific Experience by Carl Sagan, and The Revolution: A Manifesto by Ron Paul.

My friend just finished that, I really want to read it.

Just finished Manifesto (not Communist Manifesto), and I'm about to start reading Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.

Just bought a biography on Grant Green also

The God Delusion - Richard Dawkins

Not as a powerful book as I thought it would be, but still an interesting read.
