VS2 Halfback Project

I recently decided to halfback a spare VS2 body that I have. I'm using a dremmel for the entire project (cutting, grinding & buffing), which explains why it has taken me a bit longer than I expected....but I think that it's turning out pretty good. I have completed all of the major cuts, so now I am just rounding off the edges to make the profile a bit cleaner. What do you guys think...keep in mind, this is the first time that I have ever tried anything like this Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Then I won't be shy. This might be hard to do with a dremel, but you've done very well so far. Hell, it looks like it took mad skills to pull that off, so you must be very good, which is why i don't hesitate suggesting this:

That's a great idea! I was hoping that someone would suggest something like that. It does seem a bit tough to do, but I'll see if I can incorporate that when I'm done cleaning up the sides. Thanks!

Any other suggestions?

I think it'll come out looking great. If you can incorporate OneUp's suggestion that would be pretty sick and unique.

I was planning on doing black/red acid wash because all of my accent pieces are red (barrel fron, trigger, macroline fittings). I got some quotes for anodizing and they were pretty reasonable.

I took a look, and it's gonna be tough to do OneUp's suggestion. I think I can do something similar though. I'm at least going to try because his concept is really sick!

simple ano will probably show off the milling better. It might be better if you can get the acid wash to wash out in bigger pieces, I don't know if I conveyed that idea correctly...

like these 2 examples from gruntbull. the second one will probably show off the milling better than the first one:

The second picture is the effect that I was planning on going for, except that I want black to be the base color. I got a quote from an ano place, and it's a lot cheaper than I expected it to be. I'm excited to get it ano-ed so I'm gonna try and knock this out in the next few days. Thanks for all your advice!

That looks pretty good for just using a dremel. I have tried to do some cutting/grind with just a dremel and all that I really do is go through the cutting disks like I just ate at Taco Bell and they were toilet paper.

I was finally able to continue working on my project today. It was a lot more complicated than I thought it would be, but fortunately I was able to do OneUp's suggestion. One final sanding and it should be good to go. I will try and send it in to get ano-ed this week. I'm not sure how long the turnaround will be on it, but hopefully it won't be too long. Sorry if the pics are a bit blurry. The camera I used isn't as good as the other one I used before.

Holy **** you pulled it off! You are amazing with a dremel. I'm honored to have been part of this

It looks even better than I imagined.

Looks like Spyder of the Month will have a juggernaut.

The camera has problems focusing on the gun (you probably put the gun closer than the range in which the camera was designed to focus), you can just take the picture from a little further away and then crop it down (you can do a real good crop job if your camera has high pixel count, but this method will lessen the sense of perspective), or use the macro setting on your camera if you have one.

When doing the first method, it is best to have the gun close to the back wall.

Wow, that thing is sweet. It makes the Trinity sick body look like the Trinity PUKE body. Nice work.
