It's both just a paw print. if they're both "naughty dog" then the only logos i could think of would be a paw print or just a dog.
and this was discussed b4 i believe, and some guy said that he heard from a former dog that they got their name from the video game company.

dude i like the dogs but just give me a reason like one of the players was a game designer or they liked crash bandicoot
and dont get pissed at me if the pros are doing **** i cant believe no one saw it ealrier i found this about a year and a half ago but never had time
