I agree with Yoda, there are practically no diff. between an 07 ego and an 08 ego.

ego looks sexy but dang the f8 is right with it ive shoot both a f7 and a ego 7 and they kick about the same except the ego sounds like a cannon.

so it appears both take about just about the same amount of space, but the fusion just fills in the extra space a little more

SL74's and Ego 8's aren't loud for those who say they are. I used a SL74 once, and it was pretty darn new, and the thing was really quiet. 08 Egos are pretty quiet as well. The Ego 5/6/7's are though. But maybe the Ego 7 I shot was badly tuned because that SL74 was nice....
And my Fusion is really quiet. So, ha!
