As Blood Runs Black has a pretty damn good drummer too. Listen to the end of the song "My Fears Have Become Phobias" by them.
he asked for technically sound drummers, not HOLY **** DOPE TITE 20000000BPM GRAVITY BLASTS drummers.

i like despised icon's drummer mainly because he's creative with the cymbals. he really shines on some of the non-"single" songs on the ills of modern man and on most of the healing process. same goes for ion dissonance's drummer, but he's more traditional in a sense.

might as well namedrop a bit more, check out

nevermore
necrophagist
cryptopsy
converge
into eternity
leng tch'e, nothing groundbreaking but everyone should listen to them
the red chord
strapping young lad
symphony x

i think that covered enough genres

try listening to As Blood Runs Black they had a crazy drummer and he was soooooooo fast his nickname was lech, they got a new drummer resently and he is also crazy his name is Bret Batdorf (idk how to spell his last name) and another band that likes to use the double bass alot is a band called My Bitter End ...... but by far As Blood Runs Black is the better than My Bitter End but they are both insane

I've always liked the drummer from unearth just the way isnt trying to overpower the rest of the band but he still finds ways to show off his skills

they were decent before the new vocalist/jesus bull****.

But this thread isn't about vocals... its about drummers, which their drummer does not deserve to be noted as "tallented"

See, that's debateable. Compared to you and me, and ALOT of drummers out there, this guy can play. Now, when you compare to him to others, he might not be as good.

But at the end of the day, he can play, and you know it. Haha.

P.S. - I'm not fighting w/ you, just my opinions is all. And I kinda like the lyrics... heh. Lol.

The drummer for Through the Eyes of the Dead is still by far the best drummer I've ever heard. I bought their newest CD "Malice" and it has the most insane drums I've heard.
