question about vs3 bolt, when you take out the back screw on the bolt is there a spring and a small steel bb behind it?

Sure is that's why your not supposed to take out the cocking knob although Kingman didn't put that in the manual .
What you need to do is
1. take the allen screw out completely
2. put the cocking knob in with the grooves facing the rear of the bolt
3. put bearing (bb) in followed by the spring
4. then put allen screw back in to secure the cocking knob
5. adjust allen screw snug so the cocking knob will slide up and down in the grooves with slight force
6. put bolt back in gun and never pull cocking pin out again

Thank you very much, I'm suprised I couldn't find any info on that. Is the cocking rod suppose to line up with the striker and sit on top of the bolt spring? It didn't seem wright but it did cock and work fine when we aired it up and tried it out, thanks again.

Yeah the cocking knob slides down into the striker, so make sure the hole in the striker is lined up.

Reg question
I know this is gonna sound stupid! But im a little confused ont he REG upgrade for the VS marker. Im more of a visual type of person. Not very familiar with the spyder guns but im trying to help my buddy upgrade his new vs2 to the best possible machine.
If we order the "Trinity" vs front block DO we NEED to upgrade the REGULATOR? Can we just replace stock one with a CP?
Do we NEED to install the trinity adapter ALSO or is that only if we want to use the Stock reg? Canwe use the stock reg with the front block and adapter?
When you speak about ASA you mean ASA /on/off under the grip? Why do WE NEED to change this? There is already an On/off on the gun!
Thanks for all the help i know we sound newbish but we are learning and trying to star far away from the "Expensive" pro shop

If we order the "Trinity" vs front block DO we NEED to upgrade the REGULATOR? Can we just replace stock one with a CP? yes you would have to replace it with a reg or a gas thru(only if you decide to keep the stock reg). Your cp red will work perfect
Do we NEED to install the trinity adapter ALSO or is that only if we want to use the Stock reg? Can we use the stock reg with the front block and adapter? no need for the adapter thats the whole point of the trinity frontblock
When you speak about ASA you mean ASA /on/off under the grip? Why do WE NEED to change this? There is already an On/off on the gun! well the stock on & off is the reg on the gun. so if you do decide to keep it it will restrict air flow.

lighter spring=higher dwell=higher fps
heavier spring-lower dwell=lower fps
