Pulse Feedneck replacement for $2 !!!!

Sorry guys but I got to tell somebody about this one. I got bored today and sick of staring at my 2 smoke pulse shells w/busted feednecks so I start tinkering and came up with.......

It's rock solid (shook the **** out of it, and everything I could think of short of doing superman's in the yard, and it won't break).

I'm posting because my wife doesn't get what a big deal this is to me, her "THAT'S NICE HONEY", response doesn't satisfy my glee. OH and I forgot too mention this cost all of $1.98 :yay:
Take that DXS :moon:

well what is the part name that'll help.

Nice job.

How long do the screws go in to the loader?

Some Green Locktite or Gorilla Glue will make sure it doesn't move.

I started writing a How-to then remembered all the PM's I got from my Pulsed Halo how -to and thought twice. Anyways, short list...everything can be picked up at home depot...
1" to 3/4" bushing, 3/4" pvc pipe, and for the screws I used the screws off of a pulse feedtray cover (the one that covers the bottom of the tray) that were laying around, not sure what size they are, but if your interested in this you should be able to figure it out. Now before everybody gets excited, I DIDN'T think of this first, if you go back a ways you see that somebody else came up with this idea a long time ago, I just took their idea and ran with it a little.
As for the adhesive, I used Loctite 2 part epoxy (home depot as well) for $3.99 (**** is hard as nails once it cures and comes w/a pre-mixing applicator which is really nice).

that will work, you can always just do a do not PM me or I'll post for you and deal with the PM's....

But yours is a little better then just JB Welding a Shake and bake neck to the Pulse.

Thanks man, but seriously, DON'T BUY A PULSE, this is for those of us that jumped on the "latest and greatest" loader wagon last year and got burned. Save your money and get a Magna, everything the Pulse is w/o the baggage of a lawsuit, etc.

do you think that this would work with a halo shell?

No, I don't think it would be a good idea. It could be done but it's not geared towards the halo's shell/raceway design.

My black pulse has been rock solid, never a single issue, smoke shells...well I've gone through 4 now. Vlocity is a good bet for a loader, I didn't purposely try and smight it by not mentioning it, most people that are interested in a Pulse are wanting it for the RF Sync'd functionality and the Magna is the closest match to it unless you want to start dropping some coin for Hater, Symbio boards that support RF link capability. Personally I have high hopes for the JRNY when it comes out and will probably end up picking one up.

Well MVS1 was wondering you seem to pick things uppretty quick was wondering if you can implement my idea to find another fix to the pulse feedneck issue. WEll you know the internal Clear piece that the pulse have. What about using the hopper internal integrity. You know those 4 prongs that the clear piece uses to attach itself to the shell. I guess it be coping the internal feedtube using a stronger material, and extending it

Well, it past the field testing w/flying colors, I used one and gave another to a friend that's on a semi-pro team today and they both held up to some serious abuse. As for the adhesive it's called Industrial Strenght E-6000, I can't remember where I got it but it is very similar to GOOP. Sets well but is still pliable. I tried it w/a good 2 part epoxy at first but it set too hard and ended up cracking. We each took hits right on the feedneck exactly where the feedneck meets the hopper and absolutely no paint got in.

DiE$el, pm me your thoughts I'd be interested to hear what you got in mind.

If anybody is interested in this and doesn't feel confortable doing it themselves PM me.

perhaps mcmaster part 4880K315 would do the trick? tap some screw holes in the bushing and shell, cut off everything but the flanged part of the bushing add some 3/4" pvc and your off to the races. could probably even make a glueless-interlocking-replaceable feedneck type of deal. i'll hit the hardware store and see what i can do.
