Read the quote right above your post (or the original post in this thread, which is where the quote came from). Dye lube is mentioned by name. It's not my favorite grease by any means, but it is (according to my research) fully synthetic, and should be usable.

Erm, if you don't mind, could you clarify something for me?
So, to oil the gun, I'd have the gun un-aired. I'd put a few drops of oil in the ASA or macroline. Screw in the tank, and then dryfire?
Just wondering, I always thought this was kind of dangerous (I associated this with exploding tanks)(I've been known to make somewhat silly connections).

Its not since there is no way the oil can get back into the tank.

Expoding tanks is when oil is put in the fill nipple and is shot throughout the tank. This thins it out and allows it a lower flash point allowing it to ignite and therefore increase air because of temperature along with pressure and rupture the tank.

With this it doesnt go into the tank to allow for a flash fire. it instead shoots it towards and throughout the gun.

There's no similar type of guide for the older Angels. They are somewhat similar, but not the same.

I'm about 99.8% sure Hoppes 9 isn't synthetic.

FMA grease is fine. Dow 33 is fine. Use whichever you want.
