Alright guys. This is a very rare but possible modification of the ICD bushmaster paintball gun. I think there are only 4 or 5 mods like this i have seen so far (and one of them was very well written by count_chokula). That is pretty much cutting the tray, thread the body for barbs - like a timmy and putting a faster, hose friendly timmy noid in there. The original bushmaster requires a manifold to direct the air passages from the noid to the body - it was in the pics as well but i decided to tap the body instead of the manifold.
So i decided to do a mod like this since i have a spare timmy noid. Bought new barbs, timmy board ( i later found out chaos or promaster board works as well) for the body and i wanted to do something about the boxy look from the original body. I had an ego once and loved how it looks, so i tried to model the body similar to it. An interesting part i have is the GBR ram, supposedly will vent out air if the bolt is about to chop a paintball, thus returning the bolt and prevent the chop.
In short here is the completed project:
Disassembly and the proposed manifold tapping - would require normal size tray and the idea is to cut down the tray to make the gun less taller.
original harness and noid
tapping the body - my thread tapper tool is too big to use with the M3 tap. So gotta do it ghetto style
torqing the GBR ram. The ram threads didn't screw all the way in so gotta put the ram cap on a vice and torque the body using a wrench.
I plugged the unused LPR hole with JB weld
cutting the tray screws
the battery sits behind the board and the noid rests in the frame channel which i had to enlarge. The solenoid barb fitting had to be shortenned as well. The original fitting has 2 barbs. i cut it to 1 barb so the noid can fit in the frame channel.
hoses connected to the noid - the tray is pretty much half the size than the original.
NOTE: due to limited access of tools ( i have a dremmel kit, vice, wrench, that's it) it will not look like a professional milling job. And the raw aluminum back will be polished with wire brush to give the "swirly" look soon.
Haven't tested since i do not have any air.
