These guys are all at least in their mid-late 20's and were looking for a lead guitar player. Here's what I'm supposed to learn:

Torn - Creed
Breath - Breaking Benjamin
Lonely Train - Black Stone Cherry
Turn the Page - Metallica
Alcohol 'n *** - Hellyeah?
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
None of those songs are really that hard at all. So you shouldn't have trouble. But anyways congrats on getting into a band.

Thanks man. I'm just excited because I hate the scene environment with a passion. Everything about it just gets on my nerves, the annoying kids, the screamo music, the boring concerts. I'm so happy to get away from all that ****.

I'm glad New Mexico doesn't have "Scene" bands, or at least that many. Lots of Death and Thrash Metal around here.

what i cant decide is this....how much does a name mean to people? i obviously want a diezel combo....adam jones, james het, and others use it, and those are the sounds i seek....not the exact the same tone....i tend to create my own sound as a hyrbid of others, which some do, but i find a lot of others creating the exact tone, and i dont dig that....

so, here it goes:
Randall MTS with Kirk Hammet modules
ENGL Screamer
Mesa f-30
Mesa mark 4 combo
ENGL thunder
Mesa Mk iv
Haven't played through a Randall, but the Mesa's and ENGL's are great. I was real close to getting a Fireball a while back. And check into the F-50 instead of the F-30. It has won a handful of awards and has one of the best clean channels I've ever heard for that price range. All in all though, the Mark IV's are just so sweet.

I have a POD 2.0. Do your self a favor and get at least an XT. The 2.0's are good but for $100 more you get a way better product.

so I take it to my local guitar shop...and the guy fixes it for free...great guy.

northjerseyguitar.com for all of you New Jersey...not a big place, very small selection (almost no big name brands)...but excellent repair and advice.

My Schecter's been absolutely awesome for the entire time that I've owned it (a few years now).

I just have an electric, but plan to get a decent acoustic with my tax refunds next year.
