Carbon Fiber E-vents

I'm 95% sure I know the answer to this already, but are the Carbon Fiber E-vents actually made from carbon fiber or is it a pattern on the mask similar to the Urban Camo line from earlier in 2007.

You can tell its not real carbon fiber by looking at the pictures. Carbon fiber is a weave you can not see the layers in the picture. To see real carbon fiber look for digital sol's Ion in the Ion thread.

I had only seen the lower resolution pictures from the news thread. I found the high res a little while ago and yeah, it's pretty obvious.

No the Carbon Fiber E-Vents goggles are not real carbon fiber, it is a process applied to the soft outer portion of the goggle.

why not? i you put a cf hood on a car the hoods the strongest thing on that car. if they felt like wrapping/moulding masks out of cf theyd be the strongest masks yet. esp if they make it like 1/4" thick. cf is the strongest material on earth. by weight.

nah. think like double the thickness of a flex bottom. but solid. and the extra material would be outwards. who knows it could need less. im not a physicist or a chemist. im an engineer(sorta)

you wouldn't get much bounce if your mask is carbon fiber. it would be nice if the rigid parts were real CF.

Too lazy, haha, but yeah, there is no doubt about Carbon Fiber being pretty freaking strong.

On that note..

No, the CF E'Vents aren't actually made from Carbon Fiber.
