Newbie DM14 owner questions

My new DM14 is on it's way to me and I want to what upgrades besides the billy wing should I get?

Can someone tell me what the bore size of the stock barrel is?

Can the tip of the stock barrel fit into the back of an ultralight back if I want to get the .688 bore size?

Why did this guy buy a dm14 without researching this first? (Oops that your question) answer is bought a 98 wasn't fast enough, bought an extcy and it was too small for me, bought a used axe that leaked, bought a new axe that leaked. That is why I am now at a dm14.

Any help is appreciated!

stock bore size is .688, the tip is universal on ultralight backs

^^^ bwing bolt isn't really needed, but it is nice. I wouldn't upgrade the gun anymore, it's pretty sweet stock.

Oh and with the axe, was the Asa leaking? Mine did too when i got it new, just needed to be broken in, only took half a pod or so.

On both of the axes it was leaking out of the air tube in the handle. I would twist the top and bottom parts until the leak stopped. Once I released the pressure on the Asa and switched it back on it would leak again without even touching anything. I would leave the grip off on both because it was guaranteed to happen everytime. The used one I could understand but the new one leads me to believe its a design flaw.

I just took out the spring. Night and day difference. Went from pretty much loathing the stock trigger to liking it a lot. Still might upgrade to a violent trigger tho

Has anyone ever created a post about milling a UL to fit freak inserts? I would be interested to read about that.

Check the paintball services section. Someone's been doing that for at least a year.
Cost $35
