Possibly a NEW FIELD?!?!

Dear Nor Cal pb community, I am looking for your thoughts on a new paintball field potentially being established on Mare Island (Vallejo). The park would ideally have MULTIPLE air ball fields on very very nice grass with air to the fields and a few rec fields, BYOP! Lighting for night games, bleachers to watch, competitive prices, etc. Please leave feedback!!! My main questions are:
Do you think their is sufficient demand within the Nor Cal pb community for a new field?

What do you think about the location?

Do you think this is a good time for a new field to come onto the scene?

How do you think it will do against all of the other already established and to be established (FXS) field(s).

Would you play here if it is top notch?

How often would you play here?

What would you as the player want to see in a new field?

PLEASE PLEASE, LEAVE FEEDBACK!! GOOD OR BAD!!
THANKS EVERYONE!

Yes I think there would be interest. Though I would question the location. Right now in the North Bay there are lots of great airball fields (CEP, Davis, etc... ), and the South Bay has SCP. I know that something in between those would be welcome to my friends and me.

Night Games: I don't think this will be a big draw if you're targeting air ball.

Mare Island is where it all began so to say. To ask if it is in demand is tough. Those that play, find ways to play. Those that are new, find out how expensive it can be and consider it a random recreational thing to do. As long as a field makes it enticing for the beginner to the most experienced it will draw interest. There are strategies to this. From community involvement to event held venues, from corporate functions to party reservations. I think the sport dropped off up north here personally...lets bring it back!

Ryan podesta is opening up a new field in sonoma county so that would be more competition but I like the sound of the quality of the field

Location wise you'd beat out most competition traveling from the bay area because we have to go much farther north so I definitely give a +1 there!

Timing wise its good because paintball is growing but its tough because there are actually a lot of fields in Nor Cal at the moment so it could be difficult but all depends when you plan on opening.

Would I play there? Most definitely because of commute, but it would have to beat out or match the team deals the other fields in the area have been nicely providing to the tournament scene.

What id like to see as a player in a new field would be night games (which you said are in the plans), consistant up keep of the field, Refs that are being payed or are motivated so they actually try, flat field(whether turf or grass), lack of politics, and a field that somehow offers a segway for first timers to break into the tournament scene easier!

Overall I cant shoot down the idea of a great field and as an east bay representative the commute would not be too shabby. Your plans seems great and I wish you the best of luck; but it is very competitive these days with so many fields so you will have to differentiate yourself.

Pretty sure I know who's also behind this. I'm glad it's not just ideas being tossed around anymore, but actually coming into action.

i'd definitely love to see another field out there. For me, it's right across the river, and for others it adds a nice place inbetween all the heavy fields like SCP and Midway, Davis, etc.
