All fields in the Windsor/Essex count area are still up at around $75-$90/case, and all of the outdoors are closed for the winter. $80 is by no means bad, it's a good price.

I'm sure that once the field opens and gets some opinions from more serious players they'll adjust some hours and pricing to increase their customer base. I myself am hoping for a walk-on/practice type day, involving cheaper paint or BYOP options.
$80 is real cheap

This is my favorite part. Cause all of us ballers in MI aren't serious. If only I'd known that running a PSP-level paintball team with around 17 on the roster wasn't serious....

they're may not be many michigan ballers left, but the ones that are left, and 100% legit.

I suppose you took that in the wrong context. "More" has more than one meaning, and in the context that I was using it, I was referring to the quantity of players who have talked to the owners. (amount, how many, etc.).

As far as I know, the owners of the field have not personally heard opinions from many players about what they are looking for in a field, besides the few that have stopped by to check it out. From what I was told, the field's main purpose, along with their arcade, video game systems, etc, was a "Family Fun center" type of business, hence the hours and pricing.

I have talked with a couple of the owners when I stopped by to check it out and they did seem interested in having teams come from all over southern Ontario and Michigan for practices and drilling, so I am sure that they will be willing to adjust their prices to attract these teams.

I remember saving my money every weekend to pay for my case once a month back when paint was 100-150 a case. Then I got a house. I am all for supporting every field I can but honestly I can see taking the 810 kids to Canada when its going to cost them 100 to play. Hell, I know I couldnt afford that, especially then Reball is going to cost me and them less than half that, Its just not practical. I wish it was, but it isnt. And I was told that the canadian funny money over took the us dollar already by a few pennys and there is no way I am losing money to play paintball.

I wish the field all the best but You arent going to get the few ballers in MI that are barely holding on as it is to come out there for that. The ones that are left that are " Serious " have been around for awhile and feel like they have paid there do's ( we have ), and would rather stop playing than go broke practicing.

Love anyways

you know its a shame that its that expensive for a case but i guess if its good paint and entry is cheap and air is free i might make a stop there

that place is ridicously close to me

i mayb wrong here, but it almost sounds like the ppl that r opening this up r not ballers. i believe that if they were then they would know that there prices r somewhat 90ish and outdated. although the way taxes r these days i can c y they may have to charge that much, but unless they have a huge clientel they won't b around long (paintball part anyways) !! i do wish any paintball place luck and good fortune as we need more fields all over.

Exactly.
Ther's places to play in state for less $$,and waaaaay less hassle.
If it was in line with what we pay here,I'd think about it.

Yep.

At that price, a BYOP night would proabably be as much as a normal day of reball State-side.

I wouldn't pay that much to play even if the refs were strippers!

Here's a suggestion: If you HATE Canadians so much, stay in the U.S, wait until you're 21 and then drink on your own side of the border

Don't want to turn this into a Can vs U.s thread. so /rant....

I agree with all of the opinions here, the paint is too expensive. Pricing is set for rec ballers and group outings where they will each buy 500 paintballs.....I'm sure that once the field opens up, they will adjust their pricing to entice the teams to come and play

If that happens,let us know.
I'm sure a lot of us would check it out if it was cheaper.
