No offense - but advertising $80 a case to paintballers is a quick way to get NO ONE from Michigan to visit your field. Sorry for being harsh but that's the truth. I wouldn't pay 80 bucks for a case of paint even if you had free pizza and beer after every game. Even when the american dollar was worth $1.50 canadian I wouldn't pay $80 for a case of paint. That's just insane.

Everything sounds great minus the $80 a case. Otherwise Im sure alot of players would make the drive.

Yeah I fear the crappy American/Canadian dollar exchange rate might hurt you when it come to Americans comeing over to play......seriously I give it another 3 months before the Canadian dollar is worth more then the american dollar

I checked it out earlier this week, they were still working on setting everything up, but it looked really nice, very clean and professional.
Here is the location:

Literally just a couple minutes down the road from the Ambassador Bridge.
Opening day was pushed back again to Jan. 5th.

From what the guy I talked to when I was there said, for the first couple weeks or so they want to have it open every day, 12-12, running at those prices, and then will see how it goes from there. They may be following the trend of other indoor fields in the province and have open nights allowing BYOP and cheaper paint, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
There is also a pro shop(Outbreak Sportz) down the street from the field.

there is reasons why it'd be 80 a case like taxes and duties. Hopefully there is many BYOP days since that'd be the only way I'd go there even though it's kind of a drive from GR, MI

I've only balled in Canada a couple of times and even then it was up near Sarnia.... and from what I've noticed about Canadian pricing is that they tend to charge by the ball. I've seen everything from $0.04 - $0.06 per ball. That's $80-$120 for 1 case. At that price - it was strictly woodsball on my part. I can only imagine being one of the laners off the break thinking "there goes 10 cents... 20... 40....80.... damnit there goes a buck and no one even ran through my lane.... I coulda bought a slurpee instead!!!"

I'll have to try and get there depending on whats going on with the whole Pasport thing in 08.
Also I love the complaining about $80 a case......How about the good old Days of splat ball where you paid $120+ for 2500 balls and then still you might fall through the floor or trip over a frozen bum!!

you can really think of anything paintball related that way, sometimes after a bad miserable practice i feel like, well, could have had a full tank of gas or gotton B-dubs.
not backing them up though, ill stick to the soon to open reball

yes i remember those high price days, but we also had pumps and the semi's that were out there weren't shooting what players shoot now. speedball wasn't really around back then (very little) and woodsball was the game and players would make there shots count !! i can't c a place getting away with $80 a case + whatever the entry is for a night of play and being open everyday is something dreams r made of. i honestly hope that things go great for u and u can draw the players in at that price since u seem to have put allot of time & money into this project.

Real estate and property taxes in Windsor are pretty high, especially right by the border crossings.
Back when I started playing about 2 years ago, there were 2 outdoor fields in the area, and both were $100-$120/case for paint, FPO. All fields in the Windsor/Essex count area are still up at around $75-$90/case, and all of the outdoors are closed for the winter. $80 is by no means bad, it's a good price.
I'm sure that once the field opens and gets some opinions from more serious players they'll adjust some hours and pricing to increase their customer base. I myself am hoping for a walk-on/practice type day, involving cheaper paint or BYOP options.
