Official Alaska Field Thread

Alright I want to make a field thread for Alaska in case anyone decides to visit alaska or move here.

Please only post up for the field which you know the best.
After we complete this thread I'll have a mod clean it up.
Also please leave contact info for each field.

I'll start

Field Location:Kodiak, Alaska (Swampy Acres)
Cost:Free
Description:Swampy Acres is the result from many member of the paintball community in Kodiak working together. The field is made out of wooden bunkers and is designed for 3 v 3 speedball. You can get air from Scuba Do and they also do CO2 refills. Air refills at the field are from scuba tanks. If you have any other question please contact me. *Pics will soon come*

I wasnt saying this is a bad idea... just that there is very little in the way of fields here.

theres a feild in kenia somewhere, and a couple junk yards, then theres PB hell in sutton.

You spelled "Kenya" wrong. What does a field in Africa have to do with Alaska?

wow yall are vicious in ak haha im movin up there soon, i play for new orleans venom... i want to stay in the "paintball world" if you know what i mean, however im selling everything to move up there....so i would like to buy a gun... i have an a1 right now and is there anywhere to play at???

I would not sell your paintball gear if I were you. Paintball gear you want is hard to get up here,shipping is expensive to get it from the other States to Alaska, and we have no paintball stores besides Sports Authority or Walmart.

Do you have problem sir? I thought this PB Nation not Paintball Chaos and we dont speak to fellow Alaska Paintball Players like that. He asked a question and I answered.

Some companies do not ship USPS, mostly UPS and FedEx. These paintball companies usually do not offer free shipping to Alaska regardless of shipping company. Shipping in generally is based on distances and locations. The farther and longer the distance and location generally the more you pay for shipping. I was saying buying brand new gear at an Alaskan store (I was not referring to not paintballgear.com) is not possible because we do not have a dedicated paintball shop. However you can buy new gear from a someone that bought it somewhere else and is getting rid of it.

USPS has flat rates based on the size of the box and more importantly the weight. If you send something Priority mail locally it will cost you the same to send it to Florida.

Most paintball companies that only ship UPS are stupid. They tell you they can only send it 2nd Day air, which is a flat out lie. UPS has shipped Ground to Alaska for almost 2 years now. Instead of 2 days it take 3-5, but it cost about 1/2 as much.

There is no reason to get angry, you can always get new gear (lots of used guns for sale up here) and if you are going to spend $700-1000 on a new gun what does $30 in shipping matter.
