idk why they broke up, but probably for the same reasons other teams do. Lack of wins, financial strain, sponsorship issues, and road herpes.

Yes, i believe it was the first event they used the quest's. Ironmen lended them some dm's.

to clear this up, the guns were new and the paint in LA was freezing, not a good combo, a lot of teams were having problems with the paint,

so only used guns can shoot frozen paint? Not sure I understand that one. I can understand the guns not being very consistent at first but after about 1,000 shots, some lube and a little tuning, there shouldn't be a problem.

quests operate at 100 PSI new, broken in ones operate at a much lower pressure, so my point was that cold paint, in cold weather being hammered by a bolt at 100 PSI wasnt exactly the best combination, and the break in period for a quest was about 10 cases, consistency had nothing to do with it.
I remember a lot of teams having trouble with the paint as well, so it wasnt just a problem common to raiders, but new guns that are operating at a higher pressure does not equal happiness for chilled paint in cold rainy weather,

Woah 10 cases? I've never owned a gun that took more than 2. Man, they really were screwed then.
Just a little off topic here, but are raider quests the '07 models or are they '06?

Ten cases is easy for a pro team, 10 cases was for a fully broken in gun running at 50psi, what you were referring too was the regulator setting itself, thats chrono (which was about 2-3 cases or a good weekend), what i meant was operating pressure or the force with which the bolt is slamming forward.
but back to your question, the raider quests were Private label, they were the 07 models.

no problem, i spent plenty of time in the quest forum when i had mine asking the same question.
But it sucks that the raiders are officially done, i would have liked to have seen them in the new season even without FEP.

What I especially hate about all of this is that in '08, there is going to be an NPPL event in Jacksonville. I think people would have loved to come watch the event and cheer on the home team.

DOHHHH. I should have read this post before I joined the Raiders fan list (#225).
That sucks, but it will teach me to read forum threads more vigorously. No point it buying any raider merchandise then!
From what I've read and seen on various screen footage they were a great bunch of players. It sucks when teams disband.

Would that be the field that they normally play on, or is there an additional field that is going to be put up (in that empty area right next to parking where the grass is mowed and everything looks nice)?

bite your tongue, Charlie owned that whole field and several acres around it. Doc rented it from charlie on the monthly basis..
Charlie could buy and sell you.

We started to treat the grass so we could always play on a good field. One was going to be for 7 man and one for xball.
