No- there is no internal speaker that can play music other than tones and clicks.

I heard a lot of bad things about the newest iPod Nano's battery life. Do you guys know if it carries the same battery issues as previous gen iPods?

From what I know from my friends- they all seem to think its better. I am only talking about two so far that own them but they say it holds a charge longer and they use the crap out of them. One of them never charges his it seems but he is always using it and the other charges his all the time when he is near a machine.... I think the battery issues are pretty stable now but who really knows. Its funny how it seems that everyone sees something different than the next person when these products are all coming off the same line.

This is starting to piss me off, but when I go onto facebook on my iPod touch. The "mobile/iPhone" version of facebook displays the time 2 hours behind what my normal time should be. If someone posts at 11 am correct time, its 9 am on facebook. When I switch to the actual facebook page, it displays the correct time.

Not a super big deal, just something that gets annyoing. Any fixes?

Yep. All of the times on my iPod, calendar, and other websites are correct, just not the "iPhone" facebook. I was just curious if anyone else had this same problem or knew a fix to it.

Could it be something wrong with the site then- they are pushing the wrong time perhaps? Is there a setting in your prefs there when using mobile as to what time zone you want to see? Maybe I should try it and see instead of asking you all these dumb questions. Ill go see now,

edit** I am on it now on my touch and I see the correct time. I am messing with options to see why yours could be off. As you can see I am home and bored so hopefully I will have an answer for you soon

How do you change your mobile time zone? That could be why it's off. Thanks for the help so far.

I use Handbreak and its been flawless so far.

http://handbrake.m0k.org/

free and stable and pretty fast- about 35mins for a 2 hour movie. I have used it to rip entire series of the XFiles and Supernatural for my touch.

Anyone have any opinions on the Touch? I'm looking to get one possibly next year as m next mp3 player. My iPods have all failed me in the past after a year, and I wouldn't want to be disappointed again.

Of course this time, since it will not be a gift, I will be purchasing Apple Care.

100 % love it. Not one single complaint. This thing does so much its just insane. Sure it doesn't have the largest capacity (I have about 300GB in my iTunes library so do that math) but the sync is fast it's really not a big deal putting stuff on and taking it off. I load a lot of movies off and on its quick.

I'm thinking about getting it, but I might wait for the next gen. Just for more space...because I like to have ALL of my music in case I want to listen to a certain specific thing. The 30gig worked well, until one of my roommates last year threw it on the floor when I wasn't home out of spite.
