You can twist on the co2 and go, it will not ruin the Vibe.
The 2 main reasons are:
a. The regulator is designed to vent any liquid co2 that may get into the system, before it reaches critical areas.
b. There is a wedge at the asa that angles the tank a bit to help avoid liquid co2 from even reaching the reg.
That being said, if you point the marker down with unsiphoned co2 for a while, I think you'll eventually get it venting at the reg.
