Until he left the company, Bud Orr personally saw the installastion of these gnomes into his autocockers.
When he left, the gnomes staged a revolution, which is why the trilogy series(no gnomes ) had to be produced.
Apparently, the gnomes and Jeff Orr have worked something out, because the Jeff Orr Limited Editions and i believe the SR have the gnomes once again.....

yeah, us cocker people is weird.....
My Gnomes were left out of my Jeff ORR...i had nothing but problems...but i sent it back under warranty and they added some gnomes to it i think because it has been up and running ever since...

Yuik, as far as the whole warp feed thing, no, im a righty.....
if i had a left feed body, it would make it better, but alas, i cannot find one.
its still fun to shoot though, and gets lots of those "wtf is that" stares.

Yes the first shot is of all Eclipse Cockers...Top Left is a Graphite Fade DC 1, Top Right is an Mq'ed Platinum DC 2, Bottom Left is a Nebula Fade Nexus Signature Series, and Bottom Right is a Champange Fade Pro Series...

Now the Jeff Orr was ok....I purchased that Karni after the Jeff Orr because of my expectations not being filled with it...as i said the JO had some problems at first and it ended up being a long list and I had to pay for most of it...i guess mine was part of the batch that were sent out before final inspection becuase there were some errors most people wouldnt notice..not even their Tech becuase even after I got it back Two things I told them to address in my perfectly explained typed letter were ignored and ended up being the two problems i fixed and payed for on my own...neway the Karni is definitely better and the JO is for sale to pay that credit card bill that is coming from that Karni...

Now the Orry is probably my favorite gun as it was my FIRST cocker.....from then on well you guys know the rest as you can see....and as far as that halfblocked orry goes I was gunna say it was a bold move by whoever did it...but its not that bad...its acutally pretty good...Ive seen a midblock Orry that looked ok..but because of the lack of a backblock..something just wasnt right......but because of the lack of the back of the top tube it looks kinda good..almost like a new Jeff ORR...

tbd i will think of something. but it will prolly be one of you guys who makes version 2 when we fill this one up and copy and paste the first post in there. idk i will think of something, just rep the closedboltidness to the fullest.

also i got a question who here thinks closed bolt guns are more accurate. I believe so, anyone else does or is everyone stuck on all that paint to barrel stuff and doesnt believe in bud orrs magic or the power of the pump

I think its more accurate in the respect that the ball wont be deformed as much cause its already in the barrel, unlike open bolts which get shoved over a divit and past detents.

ahhh the old accuracy debate.

here, as per wikipedia:
Autococker Accuracy

A common belief is that the closed-bolt design of Autocockers makes them inherently more accurate than open-bolt markers. This argument is based primarily on the fact that the bolt's mass does not move forward when the trigger is pulled, (as it does in open-bolt designs) since the ball is already "chambered" in the breech when the firing cycle is initiated. Proponents note that the absence of an oscillating mass during the firing cycle makes the autococker a more stable firing platform, thus increasing accuracy.

Tests have indicated that where there is a good paint-to-barrel match, the design of the marker is irrelevant. Open-bolt markers with a good paint-to-barrel match have proven to be just as accurate as the Autococker. These tests, however, did not measure the stability of the shooting platform, which is the main reason many believe Autocockers to be accurate. They instead used a fixed mounting point which artificially equalizes the stability of both marker tested. Additionally, these test were performed with a single marker modified to act like both and open or closed bolt paintball marker. This modification along with the poor quality of the modified marker leads to inherently inacccurate shots for both versions.

The belief that Autocockers are more accurate due to their design is partially due to the confounding fact that the Autococker requires a good paint-to-barrel match. In open-bolt markers, the breech is open during the firing phase, since the bolt is in a "back" position. Thus, a rubber detent keeps the "chambered" ball from rolling out of the barrel before the marker is fired. The closed-bolt design of the marker means that paintballs are held in the chamber, beyond the breech where the detent is located. The only thing keeping the paintball from rolling out the barrel is a good paint-to-barrel match. Autococker owners unaware of this fact tend to notice that paintballs roll out of the barrel when the end is pointed downward.

personally, i prefer the closed bolt, which is why i own 10 ( )autocockers.
