Question For The California People
Due to the size of your state, we're probably going to split you into two sub-forums--northern California and southern California. I Googled to see if I could find where the border between the two should fall, but I've not had any luck finding anything consistent.
Looking at the PbNation Field/Store listings, I'm inclined to draw an east-west line from Las Vegas, NV, through Visalia and then west to King City.
What are your thoughts on where the line should be placed?

I think you should just leave it how it is now, west forum is pretty much everyone from socal anyways.

The way it is now is limiting some of the projects we have planned. Breaking it down by states gives us more flexibility.

Not as many people from norcal post online. There is a handful, but they mostly just post in the norcal players thread. You could make a norcal one but it would be dead pretty much. You can still break it down by states, just have california as a whole

I think a split would be good so we know which threads are so cal and which threads are for nor cal people. But its good the way it is now.

I would say near Santa Clarita and north would be considered Nor-Cal, and all in between there and 818 would be central valley. All under central Valley, would be considered SoCal. That's my opinion.

I like the idea of maybe using area codes to help define the split. I think separating it at the 818 area code is a bit too far south. I'd like to keep the line more balanced between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Visalia is pretty close to the midpoint between the two.
Here's a map of California area codes.

In a land of North and South there's not much room left for the middle
I think thats a good split at the Bishop - Fresno line Thats probably about a 6 hour drive from San Diego. I don't know many people that would drive that far to play unless for a major tournament.

very true, everyone from fresno, can either play in fresno, or travel to USPN in salinas. with the division of north and south, there is a field within an hour or so of every major city from my knowledge.

818 would be a better divide. keep bako and central valley "north" otherwise the thread would not have enough players to support

or better yet, just give california its own section, because we are sharing the west forum with colorado and hawaii and some other states, so just create a seperate forum specificly for california located outside the west section/.

just scanning throught the west forum now, majority of the poster are in greater la and sd.
cut it off south of bakersfield, combine norcal with the sb/slo coastal, central valley, you have a very vibrant scene. zip code would also give you more control on division.

I say us Californians should stick together and have just one california forum. We need to stick together because in a couple of years were gonna float away from the rest of the states
