Velocity issue help

So I'm trying out all the Volume inserts they give you with the EOS.

Get it on the chrono....

The largest insert is the silver one, would not pass 180fps.

The medium insert is the blue one, would not pass 220fps.

The smallest insert is the green one, would not pass 260fps....

Reg is maxed!

What next???

Help!

hmmmn.... you buy it online or from a proshop? whats your dwell at? having your dwell too low sometimes lowers velocity so try turning that up.

Sean can probably help you out a bit on here, but you may want to contact a tech in our tech department. I sent you a PM with the phone# in it. Since I will be out of the office tomorrow, I will get back to you on Wednesday to do a follow up on your situation. Sorry that I do not know more about this technical stuff.

Sean is just slacking, I'm sure he has the answer. I would just do what I always do. Rebuild everything. But that is just me.

Nah. Impulse has one thing to lube(if you took the time to buy a 5$ delrin bolt...), and that is the solenoid every one in a while. Nothing else really needs any maitenance whatsoever for long period of time, except the reg(as is on all guns). If it's anything like a BOB ion, it will still be a tad annoying to clean. However like any gun, the rest usually needs a tune-up after a while, so I won't leave that out of it.

Impulse are easier to maintain. Nothing to lube to deal with exceot the piston on the reg and the ram. Pretty darn easy. But the difference is pretty minimal.

Ok.. What pressure is the reg at? You said maxed.. But I just want to see what it is at. What kind of paint are you shooting as well?

Don't use any insert and try that.

That worked sweet!
The reg only had to move slightly with gauge reading 160psi.
I liked it alot.
Ramped well at 17bps.
Slight drop then adjusted dwell to 40.
Worked AWESOME!
Throwing ropes like mad, no breaks thru 2 hoppers.

Slight problem........ the plastic chamber couldn't handle it.....

Now WHAT??

Looks like I need another chamber?!

Can I get an aluminum chamber replacement?

PM Me your name, address, and phone. I will send you a new one.

Let me get this straight... you had the reg at 290psi and the EOS would not shoot up to speed with the thinnest insert. Then when you take the insert out, the chrono speed of 285fps was at 160psi??

Sean, you really should get to SP about their quality control dep. I could work there and do a better job as far as including the right parts.

Why the chamber & bolt looks dry is b/c
I cleaned them off to get a better look for any other scratches or damages.

That is correct.

It was pretty sweet at those settings.
also less kick back.

If you had an aluminum chamber....
I'd love to use it at those settings.

That is just weird. From the thinnest insert to no insert should only be about 20-30psi difference max. That is just plain weird and does not make sense to me. We do not make an aluminum one.
