DW is good stuff.
I use two single 9000's usually.

Which is a bit of a step up ($250 a pop.) but it's still a quality brand.

Those pedals are probably the best you're going to find at that price, for a double-single kit.

I love DW pedals.
They've always been pretty reliable, and I abuse the **** out of my equipment.
Go for it.

if you like heavy pedals you will love those dw's. As for light pedals iron cobras and some of the gibralter models are a couple i would suggest .

The 7000 is a pretty sweet pedal but I'd go with a Pearl powershifter eliminator! I use one on one of my practice kits and it's actually very comparable to the Trick pedals I use on my regular kits. In my oppinion it's by far the best bang for the buck if you got the extra 100 in your budget but it will hang with ya for many years.

the main part of the pedal for the weight is the beater itself. for 20 bux, you can buy a pair of beaters that basically match your pedal to an iron cobra, minus the name on the pedal.
