Action Markers was sued by K2/WGP for making a pneumatic blowback marker similar to their autococker. it's pretty ridiculous considering they had no patents on it and the marker that Action Markers made was a much better version (arguably) .. personally i like my Diadem better than any autococker out there, but because WGP had so much freaking money already they were able to push Action Markers out of business... there is a link (either on MCB or here) from one of the founders of Action Markers that talks all about it including letters and details i didnt mention here..

it's unfortunate, i've even talked to one of the old founders and he told me they have no intention whatsoever to get back into paintball because of this.. companies like Smart Parts and WGP dominate the sport and if anyone tries to 'reinvent the wheel' so to speak they toss money around and push them out of business.. especially if they are a threat which Action Markers was..

APE Online AKA Medic bought out the Action Markers entire stock of parts, but he's been very shady, doesnt respond to PM's and hasnt posted in months.. there are several people who have gone as far as taken legal action against him because of this.. whether it's unwarranted is up to you but i've been waiting for 4 months alone for a Bolt that i paid 10 bucks for.. i would LOVE to be able to get many other spare parts from APE Online but his lack of customer service is very disheartening.. especially since he is the only person who has any Action Markers parts left over..

8 weeks???? that's an amazing time frame!!!

i have been waiting about 4 months for a bolt.. a ten dollar bolt..

i wonder how much it would cost to just buy all the parts from them and be a more stable seller for the action markers parts... hmm....

I believe the asking price was around 5G's - that said I traded for a Illusion and got it promtly (however this was just after APE had gotten the stock, and was still talking to everyone.) -it seems to me that APE got pretty overwhelmed with the demand, and got pretty sick of being contacted by a lot of randoms (and the few people who actually purchased things.)

you'd probably be best asking around for the specific parts you want.

insixdays -What color was your dits?

Actionmarkers.org expires in 5 days - someone please buy it from me (or just take it off my hands for the price of ownership alone) so that it won't get scooped up by a filthy domain squatter

I'll say one thing, if I had the cash, I would be more then willing to purchase the remaining stock and run actionmarkers.org as a parts/support site. -unfortunately that is not the case. and it would have been the best route to take by APE. - there aren't too many players out there that use action markers (compared to smart parts, dye, spyder and any other big-name manufacturer) however this approach would have kept things rather straightforward for APE, as well as ensure the longevity of AM products.

how much is the price of the domain?

Ten bucks a year. I don't have hosting because I was running it from my and my friend's machines, so you don't have to pay for that initially.

one thing i would fear is if i purchased all the stock parts for action markers.. is there a big enough demand to sell all the parts?

that i am not sure about.

naturally no, however there was a surge of demand for their products while they were available. and I'm sure that would taper off to one or two every month or two. AM guns stay in pretty good shape if you take care of them, so I'm sure parts that are part of the inventory wouldn't be required for quite some time.

DITS: yeah, I had some pics but I accidentally reformatted that drive... losing it all. SO here's some new ones with both markers.

my orig plans were to do an overhaul on the markers looks... a new trigger and dying the grips yellow were among the first on the list. tho-I haven't been able to play in far to long to keep me sinking money into my marker! (college really kills your $$ and time.)

I might have somebody interested in that red/black diadem, but I'll PM you with details if they become more serious.

Well, I just dropped the dough and reserved actionmarkers.org for four more years. Still looking for someone with some decent plans to make something out of it. I'd hate if a domain squatter picked it up like the one that got actionmarkers.com.
