I like this, I've been wanting to play a limited paint format. How will the 500 be counted? Is it 2pods+hopper, 3pods??

each team will be given 3 pods as they prepare to take the field. All paint will be handled and controlled by event staff. No podding will be needed.

3 pods per team is 420 paintballs. I thought it was 500 paintballs per player, or 1000 paintballs per team per point?

Three pods is same procedure as NXL. Format is consistent with National level limited paint format (D500).

Few days left...only 4 teams registered so far....where are the teams???? Don't be afraid of limited paint, use this tournament to hone your shooting skill and not rely on accuracy by volume. Hope we get a good turnout.

Could be wrong, but the majority of the concern here is probably the field, rather than the format. There's a thread about it somewhere. Hope it works out either way

No, I am pretty sure it is not.

I'm not gonna search for it, could you give further detail? This thread is for this tournament so I was just curious about the turnout. The winter bashes last year ran very well with a great turnout...not sure what the issue is now.

From NXL D500 Rule Book, 3 Pods is correct.
http://playnxl.com/wp-content/upload..._16reduced.pdf
8.1.2.
• • •
In the D-500, each player will be allowed to enter the field with a limited amount of paintballs.
Each player may enter the field of play with a maximum of 3 pods (approximately 140rds) of paintballs. Players’ hopper must be empty.
Once the referee approves the amount of paint that each player has, the team may fill their hoppers and distribute their remaining pods amongst their teammates how they see fit (i.e. load some players with more, some with less or no pods).

I think he means people don't like the indoor field.

Ah gotcha....Well it looks like it's canceled so it doesn't matter. Like I said though, the 3 tournaments they held last year had great turnouts so I don't think the field is an issue.
