Fox Paintball is a real friendly, laid-back field. Nice mix of woodsball, speedball, themed, and they have an airball field. Lot of pump players and that sort play there.

Now that it's getting colder, I go to Midwest Paintball in Morris. Really nice facility, and new bunkers.

There's the big fields being CPX and PBX in Joliet and East Dundee respectively. They're on the expensive side, but there's always a decent turnout and the fields are exceptional.

There's other fields that I haven't had the pleasure of visiting, but are also worth checking out. O'Hare and CPX Indoor are closer to Chicago for indoor fields. There's also Badlandz in Crete, which is where Chicago Aftershock practices. We're definitely spoiled up here.

The outdoor is supposed to be good. The indoor is gross. Ohare/PBX are the only fields near the city that get my money. I go to fox for the big games only, but that's a 2 hour drive for me.
We're planning on hitting legends this year so CPX can steal a bunch of my money

Cpx outdoor fields are good. Another good outdoor place is Blastcamp. O'Hare has a great indoor place with tons of good refs and players.

I have practiced there a few times and had a couple tournaments.
Field is very dirty. I wouldn't go there. You should go there one time and then go to ohare so you can see why ohare is much better.

You stole that line from me

CPX is absolutely disgusting compared to Ohare.

I also highly recommend Fox , they are in the middle of nowhere and a bit of a drive from most places but they have the best value around because you can BYOP (bring your own paint). So I can get a case of graffiti for $40 at Discount Paintball in Elk Grove Village and then pay $30 to play open or scenario if there is a big game going on that weekend for $70, you really can't beat it, plus you get to shoot the paint you want.

Open play on a Saturday peaks 20v20 usually. Always good people, no cheaters, and solid reffing. Big games range from 100-200 people. I think they are in a transition period of who is running the big games so give them a minute to settle in.

The only down side to fox, aside from them being in the middle of nowhere is they are located on a flood plane next to the fox river, so if it has been super wet with rain, its gonna be a sloppy mud mess.
