chances of a 'Cocker threaded breech?

hey, just purchased my EOS, and i have a cocker <3, bought a hammer head kit for it and am playing with getting the smart parts threaded backs for my barrel, but wanted to ask what chances there are of an autococker threaded breech for those of us that are just buying an electro but have a barrel system they love already

they made one for the ion, obviously SP has the tooling for it, but we'll see. Smart parts rep care to comment?

Adapters fail. If someone ever does make a cocker threaded EOS breech, then it will be NDZ. Or you could just get a custom one made.

I doubt we will make one to be honest. I understand a lot of people have cocker barrels, BUT... the ion/impulse/nxt/eos/epiphany thread screws off so much faster and it has an oring, so it won't vibrate lose. I fail to understand why anyone would want a cocker breech, except for the fact that they already have cocker barrels. I use to work for KAPP and built hundreds of KAPP custom cockers. I still have a few sitting on my shelf in my office and have tons of cocker barrels, and I feel the Smart Parts thread is much better. But since the feed port screws into the body and not the breech anymore, it should be very easy for aftermarket companies to make.

Ndz would probably make one once the demand got high enough, I doubt they are going to invest in it until then.

The IONXE uses a different breech.

Sean, was looking at the manual, the feedneck threads are on the shell rather than the inne body assembly, is this the same with the ION XE?

Yes. Both the EOS and IONXE are that way.

So the EOS and the XE use the same feedneck design, which is a NXT thread on shell design, meaning that the feedneck on the ION XE's polymer shell house the feedneck threads, im curious not only how the EOS held up to stress tests, but how the ION XE did as well

It held up fine and we never had any problems at all. The threading worked much better than the ion threads by far. The bodies held up fine as well. If they didn't... we would not have switched. We did not do this to make the guns cheaper by any means, but to make them more reliable for the end user.
