Shockers.

Seriously, an Ion is better than them, and Ions suck too!

The one I shot kicked, a lot. It was a weird type of kick too. It kicked forward then back making the gun rock back and forth. Terrible FSDO, which as said before, made a huge mess. Shootdown, that's always fun. A terrible reg, trigger and ASA also. Also, 900 shots per 68ci/4,500psi tank on the SFT? I'll pass.

Shockers are some of the best looking guns though hands down. This is what i am thinking

so basicaly a shocker is an upped ion so this is how i think of it priced

stock gun = 200
barrel = 50
body= 75

I am basing this off that ion's and shockers have relative similar internals. So they through on 125 and added 400 to the price.

I will say though, the only thing Shockers have going for them is they look good, they're small, and they're light.

wow ^^^^ I am indifferent to ions. They got me into the sport, but they kick, and are money pitts.

Not if you maintain it properly.

And to make this post worth something, id have to go with the shocker too.

Its pretty much an overpriced peice of garbage, I have no idea how people conciter that gun a high end.
They are however a great idea by the bastards at Smart Parts. Out of the box they need upgrades, which of course are redily available from SP. In this way SP makes money at the sale and down the road.

So yea, the Shocker gets my vote.

Guys - get off the Shocker and Ion thing, or I'll close down the thread as a VS. When comparing price/performance ratio, my vote for the worst was a semi known as the Brass Eagle Golden Eagle. Early-nineties product with late cro-magnon performance. It was heavy, slow, horribly inaccurate, and averaged 1 ball break per 15 rounds fired.CO2 economy was also hideous, and the $300+ price tag was the final letter on its tombstone.

yay someone not hating on the shocker.

my vote, goes to those ghetto double trigger spyders, where the trigger sticks out at like 45 degrees from the grip. I hate them, my friends have some and their always broke. And of course they have that horrible grip.

Brass Eagle Blade perhaps? The gun freakin detonates when it gets shot in the CO2 compartment.

are you on crack? its not an up'd ion. thats an epiphany. the shocker outperforms the ion easily. and the worst gun has to be any BE gun they kick like bastards and are just junk.

... People like you give bad names to Ion owners. The shocker is most definately not like the Ion, I own an Ion and my friend owns a shocker. The shocker as a different board, different bolt, different trigger, and some shockers even come with feed necks. The shocker also comes with an on/off asa. barrel, and a lighter body. Also it is easier to maintain. Shockers and Ions come from two different worlds. The shocker isn't the worse gun, not by a long shot.

I think the worse paintball gun is that plastic pump one you get at wal mart.

Well, that gun was definatly odd, but it was an odd time. It was a miracle for any company to make a semiauto actually function at the time. Took BE two tries, and the Golden Eagle was the one that worked (first attempt being the Eagle, worked badly so they were recalled, quite a rare collector piece now since maybe 11 are still around). True at 6 lbs (empty, no hopper, no tank), with a 10 lb trigger pull, and a back bottle tank set so far back you had to sling the tank over your shoulder it seems awfully primitive by todays standards, but the darn things worked. Heck, many are still working today. How many of todays guns are going to still be functioning 15 years from now?

Oh, and I believe I have the destinction of being the last person to actualy use one of these beasts in a national tournament, the 05 IAO (admittedly it was an Owners Group division, but close enough)...

Went through a hopper and two pods durring that game (against the Shocker Owners Group if I remember correctly), before getting hit in the hopper. Darn right hand feed. I was too used to using a center feed. Fired with my index finger until it got too tired, then switched to my middle finger. I then soaked my hand in a cooler of ice for about 10 minutes after that after may hand crampted up.
