We (UNT) reffed one earlier in the month. At the one we reffed it was completely free but the participants had to use rental guns. Idk about your field though.

I'm a little bitter about this.

The marketing agency running this got in contact with us about doing this, I told them what they'd need to get it done, then never heard from them again until they were running events - only without our involvement at all (but using a lot of the ideas we'd discussed originally - like everybody has to use rentals to keep sandbagging down).

I thus recommend all NCPA teams who happen to have one of these at their school enter as many people as they can and take the money.

Deano,

Don't forget about playing on a field with fencing and barrels for bunkers and that shed thing, that was fun.

Our local National Guard put on a tourney and it was a JOKE, it was a lot of fun, but still a joke.

it was a 4 man tourney

they had 4 small scuba tanks full of air to supply air for all 18 teams, so they would only fill to 2k, by the end of the tourney they were filling to 1.5k.

i dont think they had ever played paintball before because they were COUNTING BOUNCES. I was so confused when I was in the back can and took like 2 bounces to my side and they called me out....

they didnt have a chrono but luckily one of the local guys brought his little yellow chrono.

it was a zoo, but it was a lot of fun.

they held one at matts outback...we entered and took the 1000$

It was a really well done...10 man teams with 22 teams total. They also catered the event with wings over storrs and then when that ran out ordered 30 pizzas..not bad for being entirely free.

From my understanding, you had to be 'a' student in college, not at the college hosting it, in which case out of the ones that participated in it, only 3 actually attend TxState, the others are from other surrounding universities.
