As far as pics go, I took ~2200 throughout prelims, and I will be uploading some of the best of all the teams to my site and/or MNPIG as soon as I finish uploading all the pics for teams that bought coverage. If your team got coverage, the average # of photos was 150 per team.

Yeah if we can rock 2 days, prelims Saturday and Quarters/Semis/Finals Sunday. 16 teams would prolly advance, so you wouldn't have to go 7-1 or a really good 6-2. More games=more paint, but man, we play at Stinger almost every weekend, and still it's great, so who wouldn't want more games there .

yeah thats me up there. that new hopper is sweet. it works REALLY well and is soo easy to clean, change batts, and work in general. plus, i took dead batteries from a halo, and put em in there. they lasted another 2 cases.

its better AND cheaper than a halo

I work with Joe running the Midwest north. I am the one in charge of lining up reffing. If you had a problem with the reffing and would like to be mature enough to phrase your problem so it reads "I thought that personally the refs were not watching for players going over the boundaries" and not "OMFG TEH REFS SCREWED US HARD!!! QQQ QQ QQ!!!" feel free to PM me your opinions and I will gladly make sure that the next reffing crew gets a list of things that need to be watched for (No matter who the next reffing crew is). However if you want to just rant like a 10 year old child I will simply delete or ignore everything you say.

Just for clarification, Joe and I both spend many hours each week trying to arrange these tourneys and we both are doing it because we volunteered last year. Joe didn’t even play this last tourney because he knew there would be too much to do. It is getting really annoying trying to arrange all this stuff while being constantly bombarded by rants with nothing other than complaining. Everyone here goes to college and is not a 12 year old kid, so act like it. There goes my little rant.

BTW: The guy who was supposed to be the head of the midwest north disappeared during the summer and never told us anything.

Now I am going to go to bed and get up in 5 hours to go take an exam I havn't studied for because I have been dealing with NCPA **** all night.

I think the most ridiculous thing about the reffing is that they knew well before hand that this tourney was going to be very big, and was going to be a long day of paintball and yet they still only brought a bare minimum amount of refs, to me this is unacceptable.

Joe and Rob from MTU just organized the largest Class AA tournament in 1 day in the history of college paintball. If the only major issue was reffing then they are doing a damn good job with things. These guys are busting their butts for you guys, if you want to help come to them with suggestions on how to fix the problems. Where do you guys want to get your refs from?

The event ran smoothly as possible for the amount of teams don't let anyone say different. It was more than an hour ahead of schedule and things seemed to go without a problem. Out of everything that I saw I would have to say that the only thing wrong was the reffing.

Im not going to badmouth a lot but refs need to have a basic understanding of the NCPA rules.

What I saw that needs to be understood
1. Field boundaries (Stinger there were floor boundaries for everyone to see)
2. Not allowing people from the same team to touch a person who is hanging the flag. (this is considered a wipe to most refs that I know)
3. Knowing that if he is running one way don't check the other side where nothing would hit (this happened in the snake more than a handful of times)
4. Any coaching/cheering from the deadbox is illegal until the game is over.

I have to admit that the refs were considerably better than previous tournys but at the same time this was their last chance at redemption. To my knowledge they had to have a "stellar" job at reffing and they did not.

After hearing many other opinions from other teams as well as our own I feel we should get the field refs instead of paying for a group of refs. This will stop the need for travel fees for the refs and help every team with a smaller tourny fee.

I can actually do something with that.

Silly Branden I am not from MTU, I should get an honorary ego tho.
