Ok, so i was thinking about putting up paintball field. i wanted to see if it will be worth it. we will have airball only mainly for team practices, or scrimagges or just to play and have a good time. i want to see if anyone will come out i will give the address at the end of the post. you will get free entry if u come a little early and stay a little late to help set up, take down and clean the bunkers. we will have decently priced paint maybe or it might just be byop. we have not decided yet. we will get a compressor so it will be hpa ONLY no co2. so comment here and tell me some stuff u would like to see in a field.
the address of the field so u can see how far it will be from u just put it into to ur gps if u have one or into google maps or mapquest.

If you are not registered as a business (tax wise) and you do not have insurance, I wouldn't suggest charging "entry".

Sounds like a great idea.

Things to know:
1. Starting a field is not cheap.
2. Insurance is a must. A well written waiver will not stop people from trying to get rich quick. Let the insurance company handle the claims not your bank account.
3. Insurance is not cheap.
4. Make it legal. Start a company, preferably a corporation. If you don't have the money to incorporate at least do a LLC. Put the land in the corporation's name not yours. Get the proper permits, tax id's, and any other legal documents required in your area.
5. Go slow. Expanding too fast is the demise of many new companies. Start with what you can handle and build from there.

I am the manager of Whatz-Up Paintball. I am willing to give advice to anyone who wants to start a paintball field. Paintball fields generate interest in paintball as a whole. The more paintball fields, the more paintballers. I personally want to see this sport grow and will do anything I can to help things along.

Starting a field is a Fantastic idea. However the way you're going about it is completely wrong. You WILL NOT survive the costs of insurance and overhead if you're only offering tournament paintball. The problem in tournament paintball is that everyone that plays it expects/wants deals. You need to charge an entry fee and generate a large interest
