ya i'm pretty sure it was just a cool word that they all liked. Ego.... "a superiority against others". this implies the ego is a better gun than the rest. and it just sounds good....
its like team names....you'de rather have your team be called "killers" rather than "bunny fruit loops muskateers".

....it does say that in the vid...but it does stand for Eclipse Genuine Original as it was their 1st entire gun....not just a frame or part
