X-Valve Question
Hey Guys,
I'm looking into buying a used X-Valve I found. One thing I do notice is that this X-Valve actually says "X Valve" on the side of it, where I have noticed most others just say "X" on the side.
Any difference? Is this one possibly newer since I notice AGD's site's X-Valve upgrade does say "X Valve" on the side.
Thanks!

No diff in function. Aluminum instead of stainless.

When Xvalves first came out they had "XValve" engraved on them, the later ones just have the "X" on them.

Any idea when they started using just "X"? I'm trying to figure out how old this valve might be.
Thanks!

that above stainless / aluminum comment is incorrect. All the x-valves are aluminum. There are actually 3 designs that I know of.. the very first said "RT Pro" with the X in the background... then came the "X-Valve" ones, and then just the "X". They are all identical.. as far as metal & etc... just different laser engravings.
(Technically, there was a special batch made for the x-mags which said X-mag I believe, so I guess there are 4 different engravings).
Basically, if it is black and an x-valve, it is all aluminum and they work the same.

Probably more than that. I have a one off engraving with no X at all, just the serial number and info.

Well, excuse my shorthand. I mean the difference between the R and X.

When Xvalves first came out it went like this, "RT Xvalve" engraved valves went into RT mags, "EMax" engraved valves went into EMags, "XMag" engraved valves went into Xmags, and the "XValve" engraved valves were sold as individuals. It wasn't cost effective so AGD decided to just engrave a generic "X" in all xvalves.
