Well the title says it all.

We are going be having tryouts for our Rookie team for the 2008 season. On Sunday Nov 11th at CDR Park.

So here's the plan as of now.

Be there at 9:30 am on the field and ready with gear in hand.
follow my rules
Bring $16 for field fee
Bring $45 for paint as case of paint. Everyone will be shooting the same paint. This is because it puts everyone on the same playing field. You will be buying paint from us, so don't bring your own.
Bring your own lunch.
Bring your own water.

One thing to keep in mind. Please don't ask about what the deals will be or about sponsorship stuff. I want people to be trying out to play paintball first and want to play for CDR. Not for sponsorship reason. If you are just looking for a ride then this isn't the team for you. You will be working for what you get on this team. I am all about the long hall. You have to put in the time to get stuff.
But I am not say there won’t be sponsorship, there will, just don’t ask. First work on getting on the team then we will talk later.

My Rules

1 If you are interested then post in the thread.
2 If you chose to tryout post in the thread that you will be trying out.
3 This is very important from the start. Show up on time.
4 Eat a good breakfast
5 Bring a lunch. Please make it your self and don't ask your mom to make it.
6 Make sure you bring water to drink.
7 Make sure your gear is working.
8 Be prepared. Show up on time with gear on. Don’t show up at 930 and need to put your gear on, because then you are ready by 9:40 and we have all ready started.
9 Make sure you gear works. Batters, have a swab, lens that don't fog, the works.
10 Bring 117 % please, I want heart and skill. But more heart then anything. Skill I can teach. Heart is something you have to have.

We don't have tryouts for our national x-ball team.

We take them from our rookie team. We believe here on cdr that you need to prove yourself. We want to make sure that you are the right fit for this team before we take you all around the US. We have just taken 2 of our rookie players to world cup after a full year of playing with us week in and week out every weekend. CDR Stands for Commitment, dedication, and Respect. You need earn these to get on this team to show us that you have these qualities. But if you are good enough and show us that you want it enough some times you can make it earlier

Kev, you should post what events / series' the rookie team will be playing in. I think that's info people want to know.

As of right now we don't know of what events or series' the rookie team will be playing. But this is what i plan to do. The roookie will have to play a total of 7 events this coming 2008 season. They will get to pick and choose what ones they want to play and when i works out the best for all of them.
