Consistency Issues

Just broke out the Quest this past weekend after not having played for like a year and a half. Shot so smooth, I got tons of compliments. I did notice though that I was getting pretty bad consistency over the chrony. I was shooting about +/- 25FPS all day. I was really surprised by this. Any thoughts? My setup is as follows for reference:

Pinhole mod on the LPR
DYE Hyper 3 HPR (about 2 cases through it, maybe not broken in yet?)
4B Bolt Kit (about 2 cases through it, maybe not broken in yet?)
WAS Equalizer board
Crossfire 72/4500 tank with an HP reg
CP .679 two piece barrel shooting small *** marbalizer paint

Ah good call. I did have an issue on the field with the LPR suddenly needing to be turned up as well. A ref had to bring me an allen wrench because the gun wouldn't cycle anymore. Thanks man.

Update: Critical does not carry the LPR spring anymore. Anyone know where else you could get one?

I don't think springs will be an issue, at least not for a few more years, some 2k2 timmies are still running the stock springs just fine. I'd look at rebuilding regs and replacing the "SFT" o-ring, then the LPR's schrader valve and how smooth the bolt moves.

What is the SFT o-ring? I also noticed the indicator arm on the gauge is bent upward. This may explain why it seemed like I had to set the LPR to like 120 or 130psi in order to get the gun to cycle. When I had it set to what I thought was 90psi, it was probably actually like 60-70 and was starving the bolt. I just ordered a new gauge, we'll see if that fixes it. I bought a CP 160psi gauge so I can get a more accurate reading on it.

The o-ring in front of the breech, the '03 shocker SFT (which stood for Seal Forward Technology) was the first to market it as a feature, so the name kind of stuck.

weak lpr and reg springs are actually a common issue with quest tac... I wouldn't rule it out.
