burning smell coming from board??

hey, i was checking what model my board was and before putting it back into my body, i tried turning it on and a faint burning smell came into the air. did i fry my board by turning it on outside of the body??

Burnt smelling electronics is never good. You're only one step away from the magic smoke. In case you didn't know about it, inside all electronics is "magic smoke" that makes things work. When the magic smoke leaks out, things stop working.

Yes, they do. They say to never turn on the main board when it is not attached to the body.

y would u do that anyway, u can read what version the board is when its in, u can adjust the modes, and turn it on - no need at all to take it out, let alone take it out then turn it on derrr

im getting a kind of burning smell sometimes, but when im shooting, like board in the gun. its been worrying me. maybe its in my head. (dont mean to jack your thread) any ideas about this would be helpful

Same thing with me!! Except I noticed It only smells like its burning when I use V-balls.

lol im actually thinkin its true. first i have a leak that dissapears, then my solenoid starts leakin then randomly stopps. then my mini decides it didnt have enough blowback n i get some out of the blue. now my board might be fried

. plz help.

I notice a burning smell from my Mini sometimes too! It took me a while to realize that it was coming from my gloves/fingers rockin the trigger so freakin fast

Not to be a jerk, but you should give your mini up for adoption before you cause it more harm.

randomness is key to pissing off teachers, randomly shout words in weird voices throughout the class, when the teacher isnt looking, and u will be succesfull

well, i took a allan key and really pressed it in and now it turns on. but u have to press hard. any remedies?
btw i officialy disrecommend sayin waka-waka from now on cuz i landed a detention in history 2day

No way.... You have got to be kidding... Same here... Another kid in my class ratted me out... I had to stay an hour after school. It was no big deal though. I slept through the whole detention.
