I have to say the look of it has really grown on me. And I was looking at a velocity jr before I got a empire b2 2 weeks ago, and now a tourqe as well ha, but the battery life was a big turnoff. I was told with the motor upgrade I got that it should run off of like I think 4 milliamps or something? I am horrible with electronics and all but I know thats really low.

They have not said how much the regular 4 shell colors will be, the $45 shell kits are for special designs that have this rubbery kind of finish from some type of Dupont spray. So I am guessing the regular shells will cost less than that.

But who knows only time will tell if these new loaders are going to last.

But seeing that Hard Corps will fix anything broken that has to do with the hopper including the shell for 3 dollars. I am willing to risk my money on a product with customer support that good

Edit for spelling.
I agree with that too, I think if they were to put that setup into a halo shell, it'd be a hell of a lot better...but meh, i'll take a torque please

Famous last words. I think there is another hopper that made the same claim.

my thing is, if it feeds 15bps fine, it works for me, although this is a very well priced hopper, so it will be interesting to see what happens later on with it

It's all a preference thing. People buy some brands/styles because it's "agg" (I just vomited a lil'), or it's because Joe Shmekel of Ping-Pong Paintball Team plays with it. It's the same with any sport. White Suicide Empire B, Black Carbon Fiber Halo B.... heck, they all feed paintballs into a marker. If it feeds 50 balls per second or 500 balls per second... I don't know any field that allows over 15 by it's posted rules. Try shooting 20 in a tourney and see what that gets ya. Technology in paintball is interesting and fun and introduces growth in a sport that needs competitive technology. Even though I have the one complaint about this hopper, I have a whole bunch of positives.

I just had to quote this from "iiamkevin091" (and no disrespect intended)..... But your Empire B could not hear a Spyder Imagine?

Legend, if you are not able to hammer a nail in with this loader then, have you tested it with cottage cheese instead of paintballs and possibly used zinc/copper rods driven into citrus fruit as a battery? I can loan you an orange if need be. Please let me know when this is complete and pics would be nice.

Hammer and nail.... GTFO... lol

Hahaha, actually see what I think I'm gonna do is take one of those new A380 Airbus planes up and drop it into an active building demolition and hope it's not scratched too bad.

by the way the guy who 'invented' this also 'invented' the pulse. and by invented I mean ripped off the design of another hopper. this company wont be around much longer.

btw pulse ftw

everyone invents everything and rips off some one else blah blah.

Smart Parts " invented " everything and then patented it, even things that were around before them apparently.

I don't care about the history behind someone or something, as long as they aren't suing everyones ***** off and are still making a great product that I'll enjoy for years then thats what matters to me.

What it boils down to is in this day and age no one really invents anything, theres hardly ever any good innovation. Where there is a lot of is taking an existing platform or product and improving upon it.

This is a good mix of both.

Wow looks way better than I thought it would. Would you say that all of the plastics are just as durable as a halo shell? or better?

They feel way less brittle than the halo shell, and a lot lighter. Overall I'd say yeah it feels better in weight and strength. The Halo shell does feel a lot thicker, but like I said, more brittle.

If you hit a halo with a baseball, it would probably shatter similar to glass. If you hit the torque it would probably dent or bend and possibly come apart, but I don't think it would shatter.

see, my feeling is that if they do get sued by keep, which is a good posibility, i feel that if this is selling well enough, the owner will try to get a license or something

Here's my demo of what I was calling the "popcorn popper" effect and an attempt to shoot this at 40bps. Now remember, a lot of this depends on the paintball marker you are using, batteries, etc. This was an Angel 05 Speed which I took on trade and it has a predator board in it, so this appears to be the 40bps setting. 2 fully charged 9v Powerex batteries in the loader. My earlier claim of this same test was incorrect as I had the board in the wrong mode and I was shooting under a yard light in near pitch black. So I guess the flickering made it look faster. If someone can goldwave this and make sure it's really 40 a sec, that would be cool, but I'm fairly sure it's correct.
