Possible New Rule?

I would like to propose a new rule for the PbN community. Similar to the "first" posts when a new thread is created, posts about Smart Parts suing are just as useless and annoying in threads.

I understand that many PbN members have a deep hatred for SP and their business practices but these types of comments belong in threads that discuss the SP Patents (although they still lend nothing to the topic at hand) ... not in other threads that dont pertain to SP at all.

A lot of those people who bring up the SP lawsuits are trying to be funny, others are actually upset about it and some are just trolling hoping to get a rise out of people.

Our goal isn't to ban more people. If the general consensus is that these posts are annoying, stop paying attention to them. Once people realize they aren't being funny and aren't getting a rise out of anyone, they hopefully will taper off.

There have been hundreds of legitimate conversations about SP lawsuits. There have been no legit conversations about "first post." The comparison isn't a great one.

A legitimate convo about the lawsuits is fine - I have no issue with that. But a useless comment like "SP will sue" when talking about a hopper is absolutely pointless -- much like the first post comments

The comment in that situation isn't as much pointless as misinformed. If it said, "Kee or JT" will sue, they might well be right.
