I believe that the only area that has enough player support for that type of event is So Cal. You have to understand that we are talking a NATIONAL event here, and they arent going to accomodate us if we dont have enough players to put in at the very least ~20 teams.

Eh, I almost have to disagree with Deagle. Sure it may not be obvious about how many pumpers are around the nation, but just about every player knows what the NPPL is. And if they made it look like they're giving notice to the growing popularity I think those potential pumpers out there would pick up a pump.
I thought there was talk about NPPL bringing a pump division in, in the near future? Who knows with the NPPL....

kids want agg and fast guns. kids and there parents pocketbooks fuel the industry, and we don't appeal to them.

I run a d3 team out of Ma. and given the chance we would dump our semis and play national pump in a heartbeat. it takes away so many of the BS grey areas of tournament paintball, plus pump players ( for the most part) are stand up people.

I am sure it could be pulled off for one or two events, but I doubt it could be pulled off at every stop. That is what I mean, I just dont think the interest is there YET, not to say that it wont be at the rate it has been going.

please correct me if I'm wrong... I strongly believe pump tournament are more challenging, very fun to watch, extremely portable on paints and a lot more... I can't say not even one negative things when playing pump or when your in a pump tourney.... you will noticed a lot of pump players are very nice and friendly(even the well known teams) and the very intrigue things is WHY ARE NOT BEING NOTICED AT ALL, SECOND, VERY FEW PAINTBALL COMPANY SUPPORTS THE PUMP TOURNEY? WHY? this things make me think .......

There have been pump players in the NPPL before if I'm not mistaken. Think it was Blowfish, and they even dominated a semi team!

I think they want a separate thing just for pump markers though.

doesnt the OSC have Dan Perez Lalo Mike Vinitietesometingitalian Chili and one more guy whos name i forget as well as the first female to be ultimate judge ever in an NPPL event Kristen "Lady Attitude" Kleist reffing it i would think its NPPL quality
and all it would need for the presentation of NPPL is just more tourney pump players
but i also think pump playing...and tournyes appeal to very different players
yes there is the new tourney player entering......but i think there is just as much pump players going to pump tourneys just to hang out and talk tech
would be nice to cater to that group as well

Pump X-Ball....That would be fun to watch and to play. 50 round cap per point and play to the best of 7 points.

I could see a division at world cup, but not a year long division. Of course you'd probably see a lot of players jumping in because of price and thinking it won't be the same level of competition as semi divisions, but who knows.
