UL frame for a viking?
Anyone else done this other than muddytaco? I liked the look of his. I don't know if I could do it, but it's been done and it works.
Anyone capable of doing it here? If so, what would you charge. What does a UL frame run these days?

hummm.
what simplifies this mod so much is that you dont have to fit a board and noid in the frame with a vike. and a UL frame already has a spot for the battery, so provided you can re-mount the switch, re-drill the frame to fit, and all the wires are long enough, then your money.
if you get your hands on a UL frame, take some pics and send em to me. i might be about to do something like this.

You could also just use the stock board in the ul frame..
I dont think anyone actually mounted a ul frame to work yet. I think he just took the frame off his dm6 and lined it up to show it would work..
Because he ended up using a fire ball mountain dm5 frame.
I have a few dm5 frames laying arround allready modded to fit vikings. They just need triggers.

I can do it for you, send me a pm if your really interested.
I never acutally used it b/c it was a dm6 frame (cut flush to dm6 body, not flat) and i decided to go with a fbm DM5 frame to get a techna trigger but I could easily do it with the UL frame as I already had it all plained out.

I know Ive seen a number of vikings with UL frames. Im pretty sure Ive seen videos, but Im not sure where.
From my understanding it is not that difficult, like said above, the frame to body holes must be enlarged, and the trigger switch mounted.

But on my 04 viking i had, I didnt have to relocate the switch. Since its on the tray. Just drill a new holw on the frame and bolt it on. Put the micro switch in the gun and you're done.
I really havnt seen a ul frame on a viking yet. Just dm5 frames.

Well I'm talking to muddytaco and he says he's done it a bunch and can make it work. So, I'm gonna see where that takes me and how much it's going to cost. Thanks for the quick posts though..
...and since I have some people actually on..I know this is the wrong forum and this is OT at best..
I have a guy that's wanting to trade. I'm looking for a backup to my viking.. I was considering an etek..well, this guy is offering an 04 borg. Any opinions on which I should take. I mean in one hand, I've been trying to track down an etek and in the other I have this guy really wanting to trade me for the borg.
Sorry if this is way out of line..hope I don't get banned I already got yelled at once this week on the ICE forum..

Borg shoots nicer imo. But the etek will be alot lighter.

Id take the Borg, I have nothing against PE or Eteks, but Borgs have always been great markers.

Well, I think I got it worked out. I know that was MAJOR OT, but I thought I'd ask you guys. Macdev is almost in the AKA family, eh?
Thanks a lot guys. You set me straight. I'm talking to muddytaco and I think I'm gonna get it worked out to pick myself up a borg. Thanks again!

Modding frames on Vikings is easy, I've already done an ego frame and a dm5 frame.
