a lot of that money is covered by sponsors.
however in the NXL its pretty easy to jump from good to bad and bad to good so who knows...
and i dont think it matters what format is more fun for the players, when you play professionally you should be worrying about whats more sucessful, not whats "fun"

man, you take the fun out of the game, you might as well quit playing, as from the financial stand point you might be right... but it would be enough to keep playing for me if it wasnt fun...

True, but if you let the competiton side over-run you, you will lose the fun and it all becomes about winning(although winning is awesome) and then you lose the fun factor of the game...
