Put flyers in mailboxes. All you have to pay for is paper, ink, and walking from door to door.

If your serious about this and wanting to do commerical property stuff and serious stuff and not just residential lawns, then put a add in the paper or phonebook. Phone book will cost about 7-10 Grand, but will generate alot of business for you.

When the police come and arrest some kid who is putting lawn mowing flyers in their neighbors mailboxes there is something seriously wrong with America.

It probably is illegal because you aren't paying for postage.

To bypass that just go ring the persons doorbell. I know that isn't illegal.

i think its on the lines of like tampering with the mail or something like that. my mom did it and was warned and told not to do it again or they will get the police involved. real stupid if u ask me. but you can always put it between their screen door and other door. or cut it out to go around the door knob

goodluck.

Tampering with mail is a federal offense.

Stretching the law a bit on this one? Probably.
Do I want some kid to be opening my mailbox to drop an ad in? Nope.

Tuck it between the box/flag or put it in the newspaper slot if you must use mailboxes.

I would think you'd have better luck with getting some business cards made (they are cheap) and making a coupon flyer to go with it. Staple them together and introduce yourself in person and hand them the stuff.

Now the only problem is getting people to open their doors...

If you truly are running a "business" I hope you are doing it legit.
